Are you getting MW3?

Yes 165 54.10%

No 140 45.90%

Total:305

When MW came out, I was still playing Gears MP, so didn't pick it up. Rented it, and got owned on-line, so never really got into it.

When MW2 came out, I was disenchanted with Gears 2 (online issues at the time) so started playing MW2 online right away and became reasonably good at it.

So I'm torn on MW3. The fun I had on MW2 makes me want to pick it up, but my love affair with Gears 3 MP, and the fact that I haven't finished U3 yet, make me want to skip it.

I'm probably buying it anyway though (no self-control!).

No, as I have Battlefield 3 and I'm really enjoying that. I don't need another multiplayer focused game, especially after the rather lacklustre experience I had on Modern Warfare 2. Besides, Battlefield was my third holiday season purchase, with another 3 coming before the end of the year. There's no time for it even if I wanted it.

Apparently noob tubes are way less powerful in MW3, almost to the point where you don't need the blast shield perk (but its still there as an option).

They said the same thing about tubes in blops, but i use them to great succes against non flak jacket users in domination.

Come to think of it, I see way less tubers in blops than I did in mw2.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Yeah I'll be buying it. Apparently its closer to CoD4 than it is to MW2 from early reviews I've been seeing (people have the game early already and I guess can play it online somehow?)

People I watch on youtube are saying maps are smaller like in CoD4, and there is way more gun on gun action like CoD4, and less emphasis on killstreaks and explosives than in MW2. Apparently noob tubes are way less powerful in MW3, almost to the point where you don't need the blast shield perk (but its still there as an option).

That is extremely good news.

Yeah for sure! I'm sure there will be some annoyances but hopefully this time around IW will have post-launch support for problems.

One of the biggest annoyances to me was the tactical insertion cheaters. I didn't see that shit once in BO. Although I will say hunting those dudes down and wrecking their plans is always fun.

Well you may have had success in BO noob tubing but really they were were way less powerful than MW2 or even CoD4. Not sure how MW3 tubes compare to BO tubes.

Wouldn't touch the game with a barge pole.

I don't know yet.....

Haha, I had good times doing that.

Planting claymore at tactical insertions, one time I did that the whole team was standing around it watching, they pissed themselves laughing when the guy respawned and blew up.
