First thing is Mario and Miyamoto (who is a genius).

I also think about how they ARE a generation behind now, in basic technology. While many people have said that the WiiU is more powerful than the 360/PS3, I still find it hard to believe it's that much more powerful. They also rely way too much on their existing IPs (mainly Mario, Zelda and Pokemon) and don't do much in the way of creating new ones; if they do get some new ones, they don't release them worldwide and basically keep their fanbase blind.

I should mention that Nintendo copies a lot although fans pass it off as original. They usually copy from more obscure sources like PC I/O devices that never quite take off. I do give Nintendo credit for making things popular, but not for originality / innovation as much as they seem to get.

The Sony thread had a lot of hate in it. I was expecting just as much or even more hate in this thread since this site is deemed as having more Sony fans.

Sony fanboys hate Microsoft more than Nintendo.  However, Nintendo and Microsoft Fanboys hate Sony more than they hate each other.  I still think Nintendo fans like Sony more while Nintendo fanboys like Microsoft more.  Fans liking Sony more because of more similar games than MS.  Fanboys liking MS more because Sony is a sworn enemy.
