I know bullshots when I see them. Those are from cinematic sections.

Don't get me wrong though UC3 will be the best looking game for sure when it comes out....just not as good as the pictures posted by ethomaz

The pre-rendered cutscenes and in-game cutscenes are very close in terms of quality, just like FFXIII was.

FFXIII in-game models and pre-rendered cutscenes are a lot different in terms of quality... maybe not the face that much, but hair, arms, hands and body suffer a lot as a counterpart

I noticed some differences in the hair, the arms and the animations, but they weren't too bad. I'm sure with a bit of work or an extra year or two into the consoles life cycle and they could get identical results (minus the 1080p), I guess that's the reason why they are only doing in-game cutscenes with FFXIII-2.

No, it's because SE is cheap. IMO FFXIII-2 doesn't look even on par with FFXIII. Maybe because the scenario is a bit different, but the game seems rushed. And the art style changed a little. Notice how Noel looks a bit out of place. He looks more like Sora or other character of KH than a FFXIII character. I think that the first FFXIII tried to be a little more photorealistic.

EDIT: + To save disc space on the 360 obviously.

Agreed, I much prefer FFXIII's style and graphics.

That's obviously from a pre-rendered cutscene with better textures and lighting.

This is what he looks like in-game... Nowhere near as good.

First of all, welcome to vgchartz. Second, why the need to be so picky? Even if it's a cutscene, it looks amazing. And Lastly, the picture you provided still looks pretty damn good. Just enjoy the progress graphics have made.
