Loved the Wii Wheel... and this could work. You don't move all crazy when you steer ... however, it seems like more people would want to just use the slider pad.
Well its not being packaged with the game. So I wont say its the same strategy as the wii.

It doesn't look good. Still, it's a cheap piece of plastic, it won't hurt anyone.
Wait wait... you can use the gyroscope to steer?! I didn't even know that :P
