Lol this thread is really funny...

Good AI = make no mistake across 16 cars even if they're all following the same path... on rail AI to me

Bad AI = make mistakes...

Both have bad AI but to me GT's AI is on rail and they all behave the same at the same time...

I'd say trying to follow the best trajectory isn't bad AI, as long as it isn't done dumbly and blindly.
