Forums - Nintendo - Something that shows why a scene from Other M is implausible.

It's a video game. I wasn't expecting "The Departed". I enjoyed it. 'Nuff said.

That's a false dichotomy, as we are NOT going "masterpiece or it's crap".

Furthermore, how does your enjoyment of the game relate to this? This is a fact related discussion, not an opinion related one.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Damn, dude.  I enjoyed the story, too.  I watched the movie a few times after I beat the game.  Sorry if I went off topic.  I'm out.

Meh... I really like the game.

I should add that I AM calling on those who defended this scene by claiming it was insensitive to PSTD sufferers to bash it. Now I can say for certain that "defense" is false. That scene itself is insensitive to people with PSTD, by claiming that they can't get over it, no matter how many times they have faced and overcome their trauma.

I don't recall any people on this site spouting such nonsense and if there really were some, they are most certainly gone by now.

Well this won't be the only site I post this in.

Yeah, we went over that before. You have lower standards. You own a PS3, after all.

It is a good game. Could it be better, sure; I'd used wiimote/nunchuk for starters... but it was a good Metroid game.

You just want a fully new 2D game ala Super Metriod and consider anything else substandard.

Can't speak for rol, Rol, but I wouldn't have minded a story if it didn't come across as a bad fanfic (although one that was proofread).

It had its story and element issues for sure... but it was still a good game and worth my time/money spent.

I'd rather see a true sequel to super metroid or more prime action for sure... but this wasn't a bad game. It was metroid and fun.

Still not relevant to the actual discussion though.

I don't know, but I don't think reliving a traumatic experience in a safe environment and having to fight the monster who killed and ate your parents over and over again because he refuses to stay dead are quiet the same thing.
