that stinks, now we will never know how much Halo will sell

If I am MS, and I am selling the amount of consoles that they are, I would not even think twice about keeping the price as it is. And by doing this MS would continue to makes huge money per console, alowing a huge price cut to appear just before Wii U arrives, killing the big momentum new hardware normaly has, plus selling millions at that point, extending the life of the console, wich I think is important for both MS and Sony |
If it is killing any momentum for the WII-U they have in mind I would think it would be better for them to hold onto a massive price cut untill late 2012 and strike in the run-up to Christmas with a $100 cut and some serious bundling such as Halo Reach/CEA, Gears 3, Forza 4 and Fable 3 (Dance Central 2 for Kinect bundle).
-----------------------
At this point in time I find Microsofts actions to be very curious especially considering their continued reminders of them aiming to be number 1 world wide this year (their current fiscal year I imagine, rather than Calendar year)... they have a few things comming up that could be run away successes, such as their TV packages but nothing that I can see that would propell them to the numbers they need outside North America/UK.
Those are... really shitty for holiday bundles. No offense.
I am not impressed with those bundles at all.
The bundles could have been so much better with so many other options available. 4 or 5 games bundled with every console purchsed would be nice.
No 320Gb XBox 360 model instead of a 250GB model, adding extra value and attracting more consumers. Bigger HDD models are cheaper to manufacture than smaller HDD models and generate more profits.
A price cut to clear out remaining Arcade models would be nice. A HDD is needed by most gamers/X360 owners.
Neither are worth the price. First one is just a crappy kinect shovelware bundle, second one is decent but I don't want Fable 3 or Halo Reach for your Grenades.

Its a digital download, so it won't be counted.

Don't think they really need to yet... I think they're saving that for next year when Sony inevitably cuts the PS3's price to $199. M$ will prolly do a $50 price cut across the board for the 4GB model, the 250GB model, and Kinect itself.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
The Kinect bundle isn't very impressive. They should have put The Gunstringer or Kinectimals instead.
Halo Reach is an awesome choice. Great single player and multiplayer. I would love to have a digital version as well. Fable 3 wasn't a particularly fun game, but a solid choice for a bundle.
