Dude, Great album, but your logic is wrong. DICE initially said that they wanted BF3 to be the COD killer. About a month ago DICE admitted that BF3 will not beat COD this year, however they said that sales of BF3 will easily be the highest in the series. Even if BF3 sells half of MW3,it will have taken a crunch of MW's market and will be a success. People, and the industry, want a game to compete with COD and hopefully BF3 does this!

Have to buy n (where n = number of players) higher-end PCs and then you're still in different rooms. i.e. it sucks for local. Consoles are far more family friendly and cheaper under these circumstances.

I'd rather have BF3 on my PC. I've said that since it released. I refused to originally buy BFBC2 due to it being a console build, however, in the end.. it just made more sense for me and my family to buy the PS3 version. So I bought BFBC2 to get used to dual analog and will buy BF3 so I can play locally with kids as well as online with others.... the lower pixel count won't really diminish my fun in the long run.

To me, the most disappointing thing about the console versions is their lower player count compared to the PC versions, that is what annoys me as I certainly felt that Operation Metro felt empty

I know that I have been playing CoD not Battlefield, but it still felt too empty, though I will be playing the PC beta whenever I actually get around to it...

wtf is the point of co-op if its not local? That's just normal online multiplayer.

I don't understand why EA/DICE wouldn't add a real local multiplayer? Every console FPS now has one. Just stupid.

Wow the MINIMUM requirement is a 8800gt?!?

Thats ridiculous if true. Almost all notebooks up to date don't have this power and can play a lot of games.
Even a Pentium 4 + good AGP card can play all games released.
