Looks like shit on my PS3..

The beta atleast. I was really dissapointed.
Bought a new graphics card (560TI Top) <- Overclocked hell yeah!
I did that just to play it on PC and well.. It's OK. I was expecting a lot more >_>. I will be buying it ofcourse though ^_^ AND I get Batman Arkham City for free thanks to the NVIDIA deal with Rocksteady or whatever :D.

I know. As with Rage many peopl are already saying the 360 version looked alot better. Both res and textures. And the PS3 beta did not have destruction like the 360 beta.

This 360 footage looks absolutely amazing. I love how the RPG doesnt blow up when passing through the thin flimmsy wood. Instead puncing a hole and blowing up on the concrete behind. This engine is doing so muh stuff.

What are you talking about? The PS3 beta has higher textures than the 360 and the same level of destruction.

I'm not gonna lie. I didnt get to go on PS3 version. I simply went off of the complaints from PS3 gamers to EA that the PS3 beta didnt have destruction like the 360 version and the textures were poor. Alot of PS3 complainers on the same subject.

But if I'm wrong I'm  sorry and I'll retract my statement.

Theres also complaints on Youtube about it as well.

It doesn't seem very realistic, the guy shot a portion of the wall and another portion blew up. It's staged destruction.

Its a rather simple script, not unlike that of Killzone or Red Faction and the destruction itself leaves a lot to be wanted on my part. There's a reason most game don't implement full-scale destructible environments; you'll end up with software that no one can run or simply software that runs well but looks poor (don't get me wrong, the visuals themselves are truly well done but the destruction part looks silly).
Truly impressive destruction is not due for many years yet.
This is certainly impressive for consoles of this generation but being good for 5-6 years old hardware is hardly good in the big picture or among current technology feats.

I played both + PC. They were quite similar (speaking 360 & PS3). Destruction was in both and it wasn't impressive at all really.
:( And I fking hate the battlelog shit.

Awkward silence*

" I know. As with Rage many peopl are already saying the 360 version looked alot better. Both res and textures. And the PS3 beta did not have destruction like the 360 beta."

62% in favour of PS3 looking better and a lot of the pictures claimed it has better lightning and textures xD.

Hahaha, it doesn't matter though; BF3 on PC is the way to go <3

I always get the impression that PS3 versions of games like these have exaggerated bloom and lighting effects whilst 360 sometimes has more (a bit too much) blur. The PS3 versions often look as if the gamma adjustment and color scaling on your TV is off whereas 360 versions often have soft textures on character models and weapons and clear and crisp colors and textures on environments.
Either way, both end up looking strange somehow.
