1st off i wana thank the ppl from this site, that i have become friends with.

the reason i made this thread tonight, is because of a family matter.  about 5 months ago my family found out that my dad has lung cancer and we were told that it was caught early. he has been going for kemo and taking all sorts of  medicine too help with his cancer and the side effects that go along with battling cancer. over the past few days my dad has been going through alot of pain and we took him to the hospital yesterday and got him a scan and it came back today that he has a new cancer on his abdominal wall and this cancer is wrapped around his liver the doctor told us. according to the doctor my dad has 2 weeks to a month too live at the most.

i wanted too let my friends from this site know why over the next few weeks or months, why i wont be on this site hardly at all. i will still go on my ps3 to try and clear my head when i can from thinking about losing my dad very soon. 

anyways thanks to all my friends that i have made on this site, for being good ppl to me.

Good luck, take care of your family. My mom recently survived breast cancer and my step dad has survived brain cancer for over 7 years.

@chocoloco, thanks for your support. also i am happy to hear about your family's pulling through the cancer and the remission. i hope they can live a very happy and healthy remaining life.

@spurgeonryan, my dad is 66. and the time frame for his time left puts his death around my bday. which is something i am not prepared to deal with either.

My best wishes to your dad Travis. Mine's going through a similar situation (lung cancer), he was diagnosed this february and the doctors estimate a maximum time of 2 years for him to live (it's a type B small cell cancer, incurable).

I hope that your dad's situation takes a turn for the better (there's always hope), but even so, I also hope that you and him make the most of your time together. Stay strong for your father, for you and for all your loved ones.

Wow. Really sorry, dude. I really can't imagine what you're going through. Even though I lost my dad some years ago, luckily it was very sudden and I was so busy at the time that it didn't really hit me until a few years later. Take care of yourself and your family.

That's unfortunate to hear Robot. I just can't imagine losing someone close. I'm not very good at being supportive, but I wish your dad, family and you the best.
