It's the Greatest Industry Icon Tournament, not the who gives you the bigest hardon tournament. Only the biggest metal gear fanboys could possibly think that
Hideo Kojima is a bigger industry Icon. The vast majority of people have never heard of metal gear solid. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who has never heard of a Mario game.

And it's not a tournament about who makes the most popular games either.

Still, I would have to say Miyamoto is the biggest industry icon.
