What's that I hear? Chelsea dagger? must be a hawks win.

12-0-3. 27 points on the season

OH YEAH? Well I seriously predict that they will lose 29 of their next 30! I'm seriously serious. I'm basing this serious prediction on the fact that I enjoy posting baseless, uninformed predictions about the NHL on a video game website!

Seriously.

Where's Hollabackenny? He'll have my back and boldly second my prediction!

You have no idea how hard life has been since being the first person to make a prediction in the world to get some talking going in an almost dead thread and getting it wrong.

I'm sure you can imagine the implications, Funtime. Especially saying they'd lose 4 games. Jesus. How far-fetched of me to ever think an NHL team could lose 4 games. I mean, no team has ever done that before.

I'm sorry, I'll go to posting ONLY Minnesota stats. Forget discussions.

So OT: Minnesota has 16 points, so they need 1 more point to be in play-offs. SICK.

LOL dont get uppidy because your team isn't as good as the hawks. I may talk about how great they are but I also talk hockey as I did with everyone who has replied in this thread

Not at all an attack on you, but let's not forget the Wild DID beat the Blackhawks.

But if you look at the past few pages it's been nothing but "Chicago wins another". Sad truth is there aren't many hockey fans here besides about the 5 of us who post here. I tried to get some talking going, made a bold prediction, was wrong and Funtime couldn't wait to call me stupid.

The thing about hockey is it's hard to predict, I doubt anyone would've thought Columbus would beat the Sharks 6-2 but they did. So, although prediciting IS hard it IS still fun. People like to talk about what they think will happen.

Yes, they did beat them in OT.  The Wild have acquired a lot of talent this offseason and could be a real threat by the end of the season.

The problem is that for whatever reason not many people are posting in this thread.  I post about the Hawks because that's who I normally watch.  The thing is that most of the people posting in this thread are Hawks fans.  I suspect that some of them weren't until a few years ago when they got good.

That's true. Unfortunatly there is nothing to add really since no one else is talking. However, by me posting "Chicago wins another" the thread gets bumped up and each time that happens the chance of conversation happening is greater than if that isn't posted.

I laid dormant for a while lol... In my teen years I felt out of all sports except for skateboarding. That was after Roenick, Chelios, Belfour were on the team. Tony Amonte just started playing for them and they were awful. I didn't start getting back into sports till 2005 when the White Sox won the world series. I was in New York at the time they were playing the Yankees. My mom and sister went to a game Toews rookie year. I asked why they would support a bad product such as the hawks and my mom started hyping up Toews and I had the "Yeah right" attitude. Then they drafted Kane. And my mom started talking about how the Hawks were going to a good team. Still had the "yeah right attitude." Then Blackhawk jerseys started popping up everywhere and the Winter Classic jersey really caught my eye. That's when I really started paying attention to them. I think that was Kane's Sophomore year

i can see the blackhawks loosing the next game if both seabrook and hossa are out.  Though I think seabrook probably only has a nasty bruise from a slaphot in the mid section

Definitely reasonable to imagine them losing a game to the Sharks now. Starting goalie, a top 2 defensemen, and one of the best 2 way players in the entire league could be out of the line-up. Add in the fact that it's the 3rd meeting of the season between the 2 teams so SJ knows how to play these guys by now and we could finally see the streak end.

I am still leaning toward Chicago, though. I think they really want that record, and from top to bottom there isn't a harder working, more intense team in the league. Quenville will make the most out of whatever line-up they send out on the ice Friday.

Emery has shown he can play at the same level as Crawford though. It doesn't matter who is in net between the two if the blackhawks don't play their type of puck control game and two major contributors for that style of playing is Hossa with his puck protection skills and Seabrook with his size and defensive skills. If both players are out and the Sharks will have more puck control and with their high powered offense will light the lamp with either of those goalies.

Did you hear what the guy said after the game "It was a hockey move" "I wasn't aware that Hossa was injured" "We bumped into each other and i brushed his shoulder" "I wont get suspended"

Those quotes kinda make me upset when clearly he lead with his forearm up high on hossa. Just admit you meant to bump him off the puck and misjudged it and accidently made a bad hit. How can he not be aware hossa was injured when he colapsed right in front of him immediatly after contact to the head.

I think one problem for this hread is that it's 96 pages. Also, it has last years stats in the OP. I think if someone made a new thread for this season more people would be inclined to join conversation
