Garry Bettemen is the King of lockouts. It seems the NHL could lose more money with a lockout than actually making a deal.

The only sport that never seems to have any is baseball. I do not know how that sport has gotten away with no salary cap for so long?

Seriously though, this lockout business stinks.  I don't want to watch basketball this year.

One thing that sucks about it too is NFL is trying to play it off like there is not much happening on nhl.COM . Which is a horrible source for info on the lockout. Thankfully, TSN does a better job of covering it or I would be totally out of the loop.  I also read the Martin Brodeur will go to another league if this happens which makes sense since he is so old. I beat this will be the end of a lot of players NHL carrers here as they could  face two lockout in their time playing in the NHL. I do not blame them for leaving.

No NHL season, I'm not a happy camper. Tons of players already signing contracts in Europe.

I know the NHL is making more and more money each year (now over $3 billion) but I can't believe Bettman still has a job, this is his third fucking lockout. I know he isn't solely responsible (like retarded NHL fans think) but he really should go.

KHL (Russia) - Datsyuk, Kovalchuk, Malkin and Ovechkin

SM-Liiga (Finland) - Tim Thomas, Brian Rafalski

Elitserien (Sweden) - Lundqvist (not official but he probably will)

Czech Republic - Jagr, Plekanec, Zidlicky, Kaberle, Tlusty

Switzlerand - Jason Spezza

I guess you don't remeber when they cancelled the rest of the season and the playoffs starting on August 12th in 1994.  I live in the US since 1988 and the only major sport that didn't miss one regular season or playoff game during that time span is the NFL.  They only cancelled one pre season game and had a shortened pre-season and that happened last year.
