Forums - Sports - The OG NHL thread: The Cup worth biting for

Who will win?

Chicago Blackhawks 12 80.00%

Tampa Bay Lightning 3 20.00%

Total:15

The run that the Kings have gone on has been shocking to say the least. It just goes to show you the importance of a hot goalie come playoff time. As a matter of fact, goaltending has been the deciding factor in every series this year that I can think of.

I really can't believe these Kings. Not only are the 8th seed knocking off 1st, 2nd, and 3rd seeds, but they are absolutely dominating. Only 1 loss... incredible.

It really almost seems too easy for them at this point - I hope the finals are at least close.

They deserve the cup at this point.

Looks like the Kings will win it all.

LA Kings has beaten the canucks, blues and coyotes like they are nothing.

If they do not beat the East something has gone loco/crazy in here. I hope they sweep the East and come out as one of the worst regular season teams that later dominated in the playoffs. I do not recall this happening in any other sport other than hockey. Never in the NBA that is for sure.

tuned in for the final period of the New Jersey VS New York game and it was scoreless. Perfect timing I say as the Rangers quickly scored two goals. I hope the Rangers can take Jersey out quickly so we can get to an exciting LA-NY final. Lunquivis also become the 1st goalie since 1997 to get 2 shutouts in the same series. Hooray!!!

Hey cool, Phoenix won! Now just need three more. I can see Phoenix winning game 5 due to momentum and home-ice advantage, but game 6 will be a real test on the road in LA.Not many teams come back from 3-0

Well after tonight either NY is gonna have a stranglehold on the series, or tied 2-2. I'd like to see NJ win, although a New York vs Los Angeles finals would be cool. Two biggest cities in America battling it out. Might help LA become a hockeytown and legitimate market.
