So far I'm 4 for 4 in picks! We have:

  • Montreal 4 - Ottawa 3 (Montreal leads series 1-0)
  • NY Islanders 4 - Washington 1 (NY leads series 1-0)
  • Chicago 4 - Nashville 3 (Chicago leads series 1-0)
  • Calgary 2 - Vancouver 1 (Calgary leads series 1-0)

I'm sure everyone knows this already I just like having all my info in one place.

#1 Amb-ass-ador

Stone was acting and he sold it, was it a stupid move on Subban's part? Sure was and he deserved a penalty but not a game misconduct. Stone came back put on more of a show and at the end he even threw some punches with that injured hand, poor guy. I doubt Subban will get a suspension and Stone will be a marked man and deservedly so. He embarrassed the refs and as history shows they have a long memory... ask Ribero.

Didn't see the slash but read about Ottawa's coach lashing out after the game. Gotta love great hockey. I watched the period 2 and 3 of preds and hawks and managed to catch the 2ot gwg but I'm preparing myself for tomorrow. Let's go Wild!!

Subban was out of line a few times in the game. The high stick to touch the puck in the air which landed on [can't recall his name]'s face, which originally gave him a penalty but was then retracted. I'm a MTL fan, and I still think he deserved that penalty. Then he goes and slashes Stone's hand. While Stone acted it up, it was still a stupid and punishable move by Subban. He should behave better than that. But the misconduct penalty was way too harsh as well, and it's understandable that he was so pissed at it afterward. But now, Stone has shown who he's gonna be in the playoff and the ref will most likely keep their eyes on him.

The refs were giving quite the show in this game. Quite a few times it was obvious a penalty should have been given, but they didn't. They're allowing quite a bit of roughness, which I personally ain't a fan of. I prefer clean hockey over the rougher one.

This was only game one, and the intensity, both emotionally and physically was over the top already. It usually escalates over the course of a series, grudges are made and players patience for certain behaviours lowers. It's gonna be crazy if, say, by game 4 things go any worse than during that game. O_o

The refs usually put their whistles away during the playoffs. But because of that yes, there's going to be controversy when it comes to penalties.

I think Minnesota have a good side that really came together, but had to draw Saint Louis so sadly see them losing in tough seven game series.

My prediction is a Chicago v. Montreal final, but some really good series so not easy to call.

Also, I updated the poll. Sorry if your team missed the poll, no disrespect meant.

I won't fall for your tricks!

So you do not vote for a team not on the list. I understand, bro. Looking forward to tonights game with Minnesota. St. Louis as Paul Stasny now and he was so long an Avalanche I got to root for them. This is the series I am most excited for so good luck!
