Subban was out of line a few times in the game. The high stick to touch the puck in the air which landed on [can't recall his name]'s face, which originally gave him a penalty but was then retracted. I'm a MTL fan, and I still think he deserved that penalty. Then he goes and slashes Stone's hand. While Stone acted it up, it was still a stupid and punishable move by Subban. He should behave better than that. But the misconduct penalty was way too harsh as well, and it's understandable that he was so pissed at it afterward. But now, Stone has shown who he's gonna be in the playoff and the ref will most likely keep their eyes on him.

The refs were giving quite the show in this game. Quite a few times it was obvious a penalty should have been given, but they didn't. They're allowing quite a bit of roughness, which I personally ain't a fan of. I prefer clean hockey over the rougher one.

This was only game one, and the intensity, both emotionally and physically was over the top already. It usually escalates over the course of a series, grudges are made and players patience for certain behaviours lowers. It's gonna be crazy if, say, by game 4 things go any worse than during that game. O_o

The refs usually put their whistles away during the playoffs. But because of that yes, there's going to be controversy when it comes to penalties.
