You want to compare PS3 to 360 in the United States? Fine. In 2008 360 sold 836k in November NPD (Gears of War 2 launch) and went on to sell 1440k in December. As I mentioned above PS3 always has better November to December comparisons.

I don't make wagers, it's against my religion (although I'm not exactly devout). Are you talking about percentage increase or absolute increase? The former, not even remotely close. The latter, probably relatively close. I'd give 360 about a 20% chance of having a better absolute increase.

You are right about 360 having a bigger increase in the US this Dec, but it has nothing to do with history at all, but kinect and the resurgence of the console. But the PS3 will once again sell enough to stay afloat.

Lol, are you both ignoring past Nov/Dec NPD's then? yes history IS on my side.

In Nov 07 X360 outsold PS3 by 300k~, then in Dec it increased that to 460k~
In Nov 08 X360 outsold PS3 by 460k~, then in Dec it increased that to 715k~
In Nov 09 Xbox outsold PS3 by 110k~, then in Dec lost 50k to PS3, this overall was a close holiday though.
In Nov 10 X360 outsold PS3 by 840k~, then in Dec it decreased to 650k~ but it had shortages through December.

So this means that starting from this week the 360 has to outsell the PS3 by a larger margin then it ever did in december with already one third of the month gone. And to do this those first few days of december are far more important for the 360 the the last week or so since the PS3 took it the last two years.

I think it's gonna be too little too late.
