You want to compare PS3 to 360 in the United States? Fine. In 2008 360 sold 836k in November NPD (Gears of War 2 launch) and went on to sell 1440k in December. As I mentioned above PS3 always has better November to December comparisons.

07 and 08 X360 increased it's lead over PS3 in Dec more so than it did in Nov. Last year there were shortages, and 09 was the year of the $100 price cut, they were basically neck and neck.

You are right about 360 having a bigger increase in the US this Dec, but it has nothing to do with history at all, but kinect and the resurgence of the console. But the PS3 will once again sell enough to stay afloat.
