I'm now intruiged to see what Dodece's big secret is because honestly, it would have to be something really big for MS to win. The math is stacked against them. I hope they do something unexpected, that would be cool if they somehow blindsided everyone.



I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

i would give a name Mr. toad but i can't remeber who said and its bad journalism to just say a name so i won't do it.

i hope Dodece's knows what he's doing cause if Sony doesn't loose then he gets permabannd.i have no idea why he would risk being permaband unless this site means nothing to him.

i never new it would be this important to be right. the problem with this whole thing is that its all speculation. and Seece is saying wht MS said the want to do, and the funny part about that is that Sony said the were going to do it before MS said it.

i guess the question is which one will do it better. either way this late in the game Japan will cover wht ever MS gains.

The Zoom isn't its own device, it's just three lenses that are supposed to reduce the area needed to play Kinect.  It still requires the Kinect camera to work, so it won't affect sales at all.  And it does look like a piece of shit, so I'm not surprised by the review score, lol.

I don't see how the PS3 sales being compared with other years in Japan, which you described as small market, translates to "the ps3 will dominate", but whatever...

You were the one making that claim so the burden of proof is upon yourself. Unless you provide some evidence, then I call that statement a complete over-exaggeration.

For that PS3/360 alligned launch arguement. All I am saying is you just can't shift 2008 figures into 2007 if PS3 were released a year earlier. What I would expect is that if PS3 launched in 2005, then PS3 would have seen super low sales that first year because in 2005 PS2 was crazy popular, and 7th gen consoles were not in demand yet. I can't argue with you and the OP. Seems like you should take it up with Seece. I see these types of threads too often, and I know most people will not edit their OP or title. Some will (in the case of a FFXIII Versus MP thread), but few will. i'd talk to Machina about it if it was that important but its not. as far as i'm concerned its his thread so he can title it the way he wants, but its misleading.

My PS3 broke, right now I just borrow a friends PS3 time to time to play the exclusives. I'm busy with school now, so I probably won't get the PS3 until next summer, and I'll be playing Uncharted 2 and InFamous 2 then. same here. i won't have UC3 till next yr anyway.

Only up to 1 million? That's not a lot, I'm expecting around 2-5 million.

Had PS3 launched in 2005, it's first 2 years of sales would have been lower (since the market wasn't yet ready to move to the 7th gen, and PS2 was still kicking), so 360 may have lead those two years, especially with the price tag PS3 would have been at, and lack of exclusive software.

Also if you align launches, 360 does have some stronger years. PS3 is falling earlier then 360 with an alligned launch, this is why annual market trends play an important role.

However it's pointless to argue, so i agree, lets stop.

i  made the arguement back then which i'm sure many pro sony people did, and many 360 owners i new at that time did aswell. it was just excepted and we moved on. besides; science/technology prevents us from making that arguement.

Also if you align launches, 360 does have some stronger years. PS3 is falling earlier then 360 with an alligned launch, this is why annual market trends play an important role. review previous statements above this one.
