Personally, I like RPGs, sandbox games, and platformers. RPGs I like because of their immersive story and the long hours you can put into the game, exploring the world, grinding and doing other stuff. Sandbox games are pretty much because of the large world and the ability to just go around and explore. There's just something about platformers that just clicks with me, ever since I started playing with the first Super Mario Bros.

Care to elaborate? Because I'm sure that Nintendo's games incorporate more than just one genre...

RPG's. The most bang for the buck and they are becoming the only games that offer meaningful single player.

I love Action/Adventure games. Guess they're my faves. Love the exploring elements of them, the puzzles, the boss fights, and the great art direction they usually have.

So, Metroid, Pokemon and Mario are all the same?

I love RPG's the most ( Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, Mass Effect) Shooters say what you want about CoD Halo i play them pretty much everyday. And platformer's like Ratchet and Clank Jak and Daxter. Those are my top three genre's

JRPGs easily, I love the likes of Pokemon, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Skies of Arcadia, Tales, etc. Action-Adventure comes in 2nd place and platformer in 3rd.
