So I've been wanting to purchase an EDF game for a while now. Never played one before. I own a 360. So my question is, which EDF game should I get, 2017 or Insect Armageddon? It seems Insect Armageddon fixed many issues of 2017 and added Xbox live play but when watching footage 2017 looks much more fun.

I prefered 2017, armaggedon got more complex (no real idea what to do) and got killed a few times to easy;...(and was playing it on the lowest difficulty)...after a few levels I gave up while I enjoyed 2017. Get 2017 very cheap and maybe later try the new one? If you lived a hundred miles to the south I just would give the game to ya. Dislike it that much..

I preferred 2017 because of its game structure (it has many more, shorter missions with a greater variety of objectives and environments, as opposed to Insect Armageddon's longer levels which all take place in New Detroit). However, as you mentioned Insect Armageddon does offer online, which is a total gas. In short, you should buy them both!

Both games have couch co-op, so there's no difference there. I have only played Insect Armageddon, since I don't have a 360, but most people who have played both seem to enjoy 2017 better.

This does not surprise me. Insect Armageddon had more of a "western feel" to me.

I liked 2017 more... the cheesy dialog and campy style is much more enjoyable.. but get them both..

Insect Armageddon is still a very fun game.

2017 is like an Ed Wood movie, innocently stupid, totally unique, and totally enjoyable.
insect Armageddon is like some one trying to copy what they think Ed Wood would have done with a bigger budget and ends up with something more derivative and less charming, and all around inferior despite having less technical flaws.
