Forums - Sports - The NFL Thread 2011: New York Giants Win Super Bowl XLVI

I think I'm going with the Giants to win the Super Bowl, as I think the regular season Patriots defense will show up in Indianapolis. I also predict a lot of grown men crying nomatter which team wins.

And with that, I'll leave you all with these to commemorate a great day of football.

Fucking G-Men, road warriors again. Tough, win against a tough D in their house, it's gotta feel good. I'm glad they are playing the Pats, in the big game, should be a good one.
Too bad for the Ravens, I wasn't expecting the kicker to yank it like that. I feel bad for Flacco because he played a good game.
Hats off to Harbaugh and the Niners on an awesome season, I would have went for them in the SB if they beat the Giants.
I'd really like to see the Giants light up the Pats but I'm guessing it's going to be a good close game. Nice to see this NY, NE rivalry going strong.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

I beat amp316. I couldn't be happier.

Because of some ridiculous tie breaker that no one understands.  I'm in the VGC NFL Super Bowl and that's all that matters.

so the giants came through,i was watching manning getting battered in the 4th and then it was manning to manningham TD and then i crashed out

both close and tough games,i was impressed,i think the 49ers will be kicking themselves they let this one go,they looked like they were on fire for a bit,but obviously i don't really know being english and i missed the last 5min

so look forward to the super bowl, are brady and nyg manning the two best quarter backs in the nfl would you say, with your level headed hats on

can't stand the giants. they beat my team, the dallas cowboys just about every year, for that reason and being a tom brady fan,I pick the pats to win it all and for tom brady to have his 4th ring in 11 seasons.

Not sure. I know Eli Manning said before the year started that he was an "Elite" quarterback, on the same level as Brady and the media pretty much laughed at him. Even up until yesterdays game they had him ranked behind Brady, Rothlisberger, Rodgers, Peyton and Brees, yet here he is, in the Superbowl again. In another 60 minutes he could have earned as many Superbowl rings as Big Ben (He was only along for the ride with his 1st one), have more than Rodgers or Brees and be (1) behind Brady. Not to mention he has a shot to pass up his brother Peyton. Plus, to make things even better, he could end up earning both of his rings against a quarterback the media claimed he isn't on the same level as.

Take that haters.

I was also hearing rumblings that the Pats might be a 3 point favorite in the Superbowl, but I want to know why that is.

Giants beat up Atlanta, then went on and beat the 1 and 2 seeded teams in their own buildings.
Patriots beat up a bad Bronco team and beat Baltimore, who happens to be the ONLY team over .500 that New England beat this entire year.

Then there is the fact that the Giants beat the Pats this season.

Oh well, Giants seem to do better anyways when they are the underdog.
