I have faith in those who are blessed by God.
| chocoloco said: Funny we have to still explain what truly happened in each Denver game to Rol. The Broncos games are now fought over by abc, fox and nbc because Tebow = ratings. CBS barely kept this weeks Patriots-Broncos game at the normal 2:15 PM start partly because the Patriots were crying for it to remain that way (it would be a very late game on the east coast). NBC is mad they are still stuck with San Diego and Baltimore. |
By the way I was checking the standings.
If Ravens beat Chargers and Chargers beat Raiders ( both of which are likely), the Broncos only have to beat KC to make the playoff ( they will have the tie breaker due to conference record).
Doesn't mean they shoudn't win the other games though ...
I can't wait Sunday to see if Von Miller and Dummerville can get to Brady and what the Bronco defense is going to do against the Gronk.

If I remember correctly, he was 3 for 16 until approximately 5 minutes left in the game. The Bears were leading 10-0. Then Lovie Smith being the brilliant mind he is decides to go into prevent defense mode thinking that it will take the Broncos will take to long to score twice. Ironically he was actually right, if Barber didn't run out of bounds like has already been mentioned. This gave Tebow enough time to get the Broncos "in range" for a 59 yard field goal. Then in overtime Barber fumbled the ball when the Bears were on the Broncos 35 yard line. Ugh. |
The only thing missing in that game was Pratter making a 70 yards field goal...
I almost wished the Broncos didn't make it so close to the end zone in OT so that Pratter could have made history....( although knowing John Fox he probably would have punted instead of trying any field goal over 60 yards...)
Does anyone else have a problem with the fact that Tim Tebow is getting all of the media attention now? I mean come on, the first ten minutes of Sportscenter is dedicated to him, on a Wednesday! Where's the talk about the Packers going for an undefeated season or the discussion about how the Texans keep winning all of their games in spite of the plague of injuries that they've had? Kordell Stewart was talking about how the Texans were flying under the radar yesterday since they are in a small market. What??? Houston has the 4th biggest population in the US last time I checked. I'm guessing that he didn't major in geography.
Come on, I know that the Broncos are a nice story, but honestly there's other things to talk about.

Yeah, it's kind of absurd. Heck, "Tebowing" is an official word now (according to Global Language Monitor), and there's a christmas card of Tebow "Tebowing" next to baby Jesus. Not to mention even when I read news about other teams, there tends to be some Broncos/Tebow comment thrown in at the same time. It's not limited to just sports news. Still, it's at least a good thing to talk about, rather than something bad a player did... and I have seen a few articles go out of their way to mention specifically non Tebow related NFL news.
Tebow is the biggest story in Sports right now, deal with it...
There even was a 2 page article about him in the Wall Street Journal...
I think ESPN should cash on it and launch ESPN Tebow where they could do 24/7 Tebow coverage and show his old college games in between !

Hate to say it but despite all the Texans achievements , the reason for a lot of people why the Texans are making the playoff is that Peyton didn't play...
PS : Houston is the 4th biggest US urban center but it has almost no suburb.( 10th in urban area ranking which include suburbs).
Meh, when Tebow dies out in the playoffs it will all fade away like most.
