Here goes my Monday morning stuff again:

Cle 12 Hou 30 The Texans record is about where it is at this time every year. Let's see if they can not have the late season slide this time and make the playoffs. I feel for the Cleveland fans. I really do.

TB 16 NO 27 The Saints decide to show up this week. Drew Brees has thrown for over 3,000 yards in nine games. Yes, that is a NFL record. He has a completion rate of over 75%. With all due respect to Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, Drew is currently the best QB in the NFL.

Mia 31 KC 3 Congratulations Dolphins. You played hard and blew out the Chiefs. Maybe it's time to change the name of the AFC West to the AFC Worst.

Sea 13 Dal 23 It wasn't a great win for the Cowboys, but a win is a win and I'm sure that they'll take it. I know that the Seahawks won the NFC West last year, but I don't think that Pete Carroll is a NFL coach. It's okay, Lou Holtz wasn't either.

Den 38 Oak 24 Tim Tebow's stats: 124 passing yards and 117 rushing yards. Still he gets the win. To be honest, I'm cheering for this guy since so many want him to fail. Carson Palmer has a great stat line until you get to the 3 picks. He's good enough to lose, just like in Cincinnati.

NYG 24 NE 20 Eli Manning is having a great year. I hope that he starts to step out of his brother's shadow. The media has been unnecessarily hard on him because he's not his brother. The Patriots lose two in a row and Brasdy's 31 game home win streak ends. I love it!

GB 45 SD 38 The Packers are starting to remind me of the Kurt Warner led Rams. Their lack of a defense forces their phenomenal offense to score a million points a game. It makes the QB's margin for error minimal in a track meet like this one. The Chargers honestly had a chance at victory and lost the game because of Philip River's two pick sixes.

I have no idea what's going to happen tonight. I hope that the Bears win though. Go Bears!

The Browns simply have no offensive presence...at all.

Tom Brady lost his status as #1 QB much earlier into the season, as far back as that Bills loss. Joe Flacco, Eli Manning...somehow those usually mediocre (moreso Flacco than Eli) QBs did what it took to lead their teams to victories. Eli especially played tremendous football, and since he is usually quiet and reserved, did not get the credit he deserves as an ELITE quarterback. Brady has done it as well, but against some terrible teams. He is getting a pass off brand name for weeks now; his performance is standout only because the Patriots overall are not actually  as great as they've been made out to be.

Is Reggie Bush Kush really on the rise up?....Nah, probably not, but it was good to see. All the analysts put KC above the Dolphins and crushed Matt Moore...that's why I tend not to listen to them.

The fumble by Dez Bryant was...devastating in that game. Sure the Cowbells still won, but I felt like the rhythmn of the entire game changed after that. Tarvaris Jackson could've won that game if not so many mistakes were forcefully made. Marshawn Lynch was runnin his butt off so the running game wasnt the issue. Tony Romo gets to escape with a dirty victory now, but the contending teams just will not stand for that against the Cowboys. Also, I need to start selling hamstrings. With the lack of how many NFL players have a working one, I can make millions.

Tebow to Decker is all that matters in my Fanstasy Football biased mind. Timmy T can keep his job for another week. I'm just glad he kept turnovers to a minimum and once again shoved humble pie into the face of a few more haters. Raiders need Run DMC back, but Michael Bush is a starter in his own right. Carson Palmer....should have just retired a disgruntled and broken QB.

Eli developed a clutch gene all of a sudden and beat the Patriots again. Jake Ballard pulled of his own version of THE CATCH late in contention and helped the G-Men clinch a very important victory. What the Giants have to do going forward is to stay consistent. They tend to go into late season slides and lose confidence.

Green Bay needs to find a running game so that there isn't so much time for these desperate comebacks to happen. The ironic problems is Aaron Rodgers' super-effective efficiency. When you only have one more incompletion than touchdowns, your passing game is of an unusually high potency. With the offense being around so briefly, the defense is therefore around too long, and with the way Green Bay applies pressure, they allow more big plays. When the opponents are always down by 2-3 touchdowns, big plays are the only things attempted in order to secure a victory. I also find it interesting how Packers games have always seemed to be ending in the past 16 or so contests - a Green Bay interception to close out the game.

I'm hoping that he was kidding with that "analysis." I've watched all of Rodgers' games this year and a couple of Brees' and the difference between them lies in the decision making. The plays you see Rodgers scramble around and either throw the ball away, or take a sack for a minimal loss on, Brees is firing into tight and often double coverage on like he's Brett Favre's little brother. Their first game against Tampa Bay they lost because of Brees' lack of discretion with the ball. Rodgers just doesn't throw the balls where his receiver has little to no chance of coming up with them. There is more to being a quarterback than amassing yards, you have to take care of the football, and Rodgers is far superior to Brees in that regard.

I dont think he was kidding.  Maybe he just didnt know Brees full stats line compared to Rodgers before he made that comment.

Week 9 predictions:

Team 1 Team 2 Win Why
Miami Kansas City 2 Self-explanatory; nobody loses to the Dolphins.
Seattle Dallas 2 The Cowboys need it more.
Tampa Bay New Orleans 2 The Saints will want to make up for their losses against the Buccaneers and Rams.
San Francisco Washington 1 The 49ers have a really good team this year, the same can't be said about the Redskins.
New York (J) Buffalo 2 No good reason other than me wanting to see the Bills win.
Cleveland Houston 2 Don't really know anything about these two teams, the Texans seem to be the safer bet.
Atlanta Indianapolis 1 Self-explanatory; nobody loses to the Colts.
Cincinatti Tennessee 1 amp316 says that I underestimate the Bengals; the Titans don't look like a strong team.
Denver Oakland 2 The Raiders are without their starting QB, but it should be enough for the Broncos.
New York (G) New England 1 Because Eli Manning is better than people want to give him credit for.
Green Bay San Diego 1 Coming off the bye-week the Packers should be as strong as ever.
St. Louis Arizona 1 The Rams suck this year, but second place in their division is within reach.
Baltimore Pittsburgh 2 The Steelers won't allow to get sweeped by the Ravens who have been struggling lately.
Chicago Philadelphia 2 Because I predicted the Bears to be .500 after eight games.

Agree? Good for you. Disagree? I don't care.

I went 8-6 for this week. I am about as good as an official NFL analyst.

By the math, even a monkey would get half of them right. :P

Honestly, I've been reading more articles on the official NFL website than ever before and most of what they say is a given and they hardly ever give much insight. Predicting more games right than wrong over the course of a season also isn't much of an accomplishment, because certain outcomes are so probable that it takes miracles to make you wrong.

As for MNF, good for the Bears. Already beaten three other wild-card contenders (if we count the Eagles as such).

So your not denying that you can barely beat a monkey?

I challenge you to a contest of your picks vs my flip of a coin.

On a serious note, if you follow any game enough you eventually pick up on what teams are good and bad at and much more. So it I agree that most games are predictable. Of course, tan again there was the surprises for Miami and Oakland.

Well, I would expect more from official NFL analysts. Just because one team is bad and another one is good doesn't mean that the bad team doesn't have what it takes to stop the good team. The few strengths of the bad team could be very effective against the weaknesses of the good team and that's something that isn't obvious to everyone. Most of what these analysts write about can be easily arrived at by casually browsing some stats on the NFL website. It's not really an in-depth look at the league.

The thing is if the games were that predictable than no one would want to watch so that is why each team has countless people analyzing each game to look for teams weaknesses and strengths. Many things can be picked up by stats and that is how fantasy football works. Analysts are usually ex players so it should seem like they would do better than the average person. Nothing is ever full proof of course due to large amounts of parity in the NFL and due to intangibles that happen in every game.

Do you watch pregame shows and halt time shows? I know the analysts on there often say what I picked up watching the game on my own. Usually though they have insider information and perspectives that most people could never come up with because they played the game at a higher level. So I can see why you expect more out of them.

Are you afraid to face my coin toss challenge?

WTF is wrong with the Titans? They go from 3-1 down to 4-4.

And Chris Johnson is shit this year. 366 yards and 1 TD thru 8 games? Come on dude that's horrible. Is this the same guy that rushed 2,000 yards 2 years ago?

The way you put it Rol seems so boring. I want a wager.

Great you worked a lot to produce that much data.. Well thanks for sharing info dude...
