Drew Brees has thrown for over 3,000 yards in nine games. Yes, that is a NFL record. He has a completion rate of over 75%. With all due respect to Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, Drew is currently the best QB in the NFL.

Drew Brees' Numbers

71%  3004 Yards   21 TDs   11 INTs   100.9 QB Rating

Aaron Rodgers' Numbers

72.5%  2619 Yards   24 TDs   3 INTs   129.1 QB Rating

Nope its still Rodgers

I'm hoping that he was kidding with that "analysis." I've watched all of Rodgers' games this year and a couple of Brees' and the difference between them lies in the decision making. The plays you see Rodgers scramble around and either throw the ball away, or take a sack for a minimal loss on, Brees is firing into tight and often double coverage on like he's Brett Favre's little brother. Their first game against Tampa Bay they lost because of Brees' lack of discretion with the ball. Rodgers just doesn't throw the balls where his receiver has little to no chance of coming up with them. There is more to being a quarterback than amassing yards, you have to take care of the football, and Rodgers is far superior to Brees in that regard.
