The comeback was pretty impressive, I have to admit. Regardless of the major mistakes made by both teams (especially Miami that allowed it), it's not often that I've seen a game that exciting at the very end. Of course, the first 55 minutes were completely boring...

At least Telbow did pretty well in the last few minutes. Then again, Telbow was a huge reason why we needed the comeback in the first place. It's a shame; I think the guy has a lot of potential, but he's just not there yet. He needs a lot of practice. Especially when it comes to throwing the ball. There were so many passes where I just cringed because he missed by such a huge margin.

@chocoloco; I agree that McDaniels really screwed up the team. I was surprised that the Broncos started off at 6-0 in his first season, because it seemed like we won all of those games by some fluke. Then last season happened and proved me right. But I'm still cheering for the Broncos. I can't help it. I'm a die-hard Colorado sports fan. Even the Rockies (how about that 2007 choke in the World Series?!).

Tebow looked reall bad against the Lions, but the loss is certainly not all his fault as the defense is also one of the worst in in the NFL. With time I expect he will improve and still think he has potential to be a star. That may be a couple years down the road, but as John Lynch said (former Bronco now announcer) said during the game the lions have quickly gone from a trashy team to a potential super bowl champion very quickly. These kinds of things happen all the time. I always follow the Broncs even if they suck and it is ggreat the city and state still do too.

Yeah, I watched the Rookies that playoff year (as I am not even close to a baseball fan). That was exciting, but I knew they had no chance against the RED Sox. It will be interesting to see if they ever become really good. Watch the Nuggets more mostly in the playoffs, but the Avalanche and the Broncos are my favorite teams by far.

Tim Tebow will never be a good NFL QB, he is a horrible passer with decent elusiveness and alot of heart. Not a great combination. He is a slower, less accurate version of Vick (which i didn't think was possible). The Broncos need to go back to Orton as quickly as possible, not that it will matter in the end but he has a better chance at being their starter of the future. He can at least complete passes.

Why on earth would you go back to Orton now? They know they're not going to the playoffs now, so it's better to play Tebow and see what he can do and make an assessment at the end of the season. Tebow's already won as many games as Orton this year anyway.

Because Tebow is not an NFL QB, he would be better off in the Arena league, if its even still around.

But Orton has proved in the past that he can win,  he is a decent QB.  The Broncos are just a bad team,  they keep trading away or getting rid of all their good players.  And surrounding Tebow with talent isnt going to help him out,  all it will do is hurt the other players trying to be developed.

Orton last year threw for 3700 yards with 20 TDs and 9 INTs.  in 13 games.  The fact that they went only 3-10 in those games proves that he isnt the problem and never was.   Those numbers come to 4500 yards and 25 TDs and 11 INTs if stretched to 16 games,  those are damn near Pro Bowl numbers.

What happened against Miami was a fluke, and Tebow is a joke in the NFL.

That last statement is just hyperbole. He's started 5 games, two this year, which he's 1-1 in. I suppose you're just going to ignore the Chargers game earlier this year where Orton was mediocre at best the entire game and Tebow started moving the ball down the field and kept the Broncos in the game. I do agree that the Broncos are bad. They have an awful defense, just traded away their best WR, and Magahee got injured as well, but the Tebow "he's not an NFL QB lulz" argument is nothing but hyperbole at this point.

Also, Orton is not signed through this year and Tebow is, so why wouldn't you see if he can improve over the course of a season?

Its not hyperbole, even only playing 5 games in the NFL you can see that he is in way over his head. He cant even make basic NFL throws.  Some of the catches that the WRs are having to make are highlight reel stuff, its because the ball isnt where its supposed to be.

And Im not the only one saying it.

And he can only move the ball down the field by running,  a 46% completion percentage wont get that done.

You know why you wouldnt waste your time seeing if he can improve,  cause he hasnt changed one bit in the 2 years he has been there.  He hasnt changed at all in the 5 starts and 14 games he has played in.

Wow, for the second straight week Philip Rivers completely chokes in crunch time, this time truly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Unbelievable.

@ Rol My statement about the Panthers was more about the season, but I don't see how losing to the Vikings can be good in any way. The Vikings are a bad team.

If I may give my take on Tim Tebow and the Broncos, here goes:

It all started when Mike Shananhan was fired. I'm sort of on the fence about whether or not he should have been let go. The Broncos lost their last four games in his last season in order for them to miss the playoffs by a game. This was pretty bad and would get most any coach fired, but he had won two Super Bowls with the the Broncos and had done numerous great things for the organization. I probably would have brought him back next season, but with no margin for error. A bad start or missing the playoffs would have been it for him.

Anywho, the Broncos hired Josh MacDaniels and gave him free reign to do personel decisions and whatnot. For whatever reason (who knows what really happened) he and Jay Cutler clashed and McDaniels wanted Cutler let go immediately. The media portrayed Cutler as the villain (like they always do for whatever reason) and McDaniels came out squeaky clean. Looking back, I'm not sure that this was the case... McDaniels wanted to get Matt Cassell, but instead wound up with Kyle Orton. To be honest, this was pretty lucky on his part in my opinion. Matt Cassell led the Oh my God are they great!!! Patriots to a 11-5 record and Orton led the decent Bears to a 10-4 record his rookie season and had been winning ever since. I think that pretty much says it all.

Orton actually put up very good numbers in his first two seasons with the Broncos. Yeah they lost a lot last year, but not because of him. The reason they were losing was due to McDaniel's horrible personnel decisions. Back to Orton, I remember watching a game last year that the Broncos lost where he threw for about 400 yards if my memory serves correctly. After Orton completed a 20 yard pass, the Denver crowd started chanting, "We want Tebow!" No joke. It was ridiculous. Not only were they booing his bad plays, but also his good plays. This year all of the booing finally started to get to him and he played badly. To be honest, I couldn't think of any player that could play under those conditions.

Which brings me to Tebow. Tebow is another of Josh McDaniel's personnel decisions. DRAFT PICKS were given up for Tebow because McDaniels thought that he was the best thing since sliced bread. Now I'm going to be honest, from what I've seen Tim Tebow has trouble throwing the football accurately. This is a huge deal in the NFL (ask JaMarcus Russell). That being said, the jury's still out on him since is just starting out. I think that what Broncos fans like about him is that he truly seems to be a nice guy, has a lot of heart, and was a winner in college. Also, I think that they like him because he is a symbol of hope for a once great organization that has gone very bad.

Basically what I believe is this; Kyle Orton is a solid (not great) QB that needs a change of scenery to once again be successful. He will never perform well again in a Broncos uniform due to the circumstances. Also, starting Tebow now is a good idea. Let him play the rest of the year and see if he can be a winner in the NFL or if he is yet again one of McDaniel's blunders. If he shows no improvement by the end of the year, then release him and try Brady Quinn or bring in someone else.

Lastly, the comments that the Lions made about Tebow after the game were unprofessional. How would they like it if the opposing team were to have talked about any of the 75,000 horrible QBs that they have had that way? The more that team opens their mouths, the less I like them (and I already didn't like them).
