They do. Iwata saying so when speaking to investors trumps any random sources you can come up with.

When it costs you 99 to make and you're selling it for 170 it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. He was just lying to pretect the fact that his company over charged due to greed. The tech inside of that thing is really out dated.

Explain why investors would be angry about Nintendo making profit and be happy about Nintendo making losses. Because that is what you are saying and it makes no sense whatsoever.

Wow I never agree with Rol until now. Is this guy re...... not so bright or something? What does he think this is the playground where you can just outright lie to people? If you lie to investors so blatantly about financials you are looking at a major day in court. Furthermore there is no such thing as overcharge unless you buy a product from someone and then upsell it. Check out every product in any store, a can of coca cola, a bag of potato chips, etc. Generally profit margins will be 200% + depending and it is understood that alot of that is to cover overhead costs. Finally, Japanese CEO's tend to make considerably less than CEO's from other developed countries around the world which is why Sony's own Stringer is criticized for making too much (that was in a thread here with a reliable source). This guy needs to seriously stfu and go play some marbles or something cuz he has no clue what he's talking about, and I want to see a reliable source that gives a break down on specs, who is the manufacturer of every part, who does the assembling, and where in order to get the oh so accurate price of 99.
Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)
I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/ hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
