lot of strange games up there and Dead Island is doing nuts for a new IP and it doesnt even have a meta of 90. Glad people are still buying Deus Ex, despite Gears out this week. Good for Gears, Only Xbox exclusive i truly like, great series

Really? Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, Lost Odyssey or any JRPG exclusive, Forza, Too Human? Nothing else?

Well I guess I'm not that different. Although I like make PS3 exclusive franchises, the only ones I love are Uncharted and GT.

Too Human, seriously??

im glad Pezus said it. Alan Wake was ok, nothing that made me say "i need to buy 360", Splinter Cell is on PC, not exclusive, Lost Odyssey was ok, again didnt scream " i need to buy 360", Forza i dont like sim racers, that goes for GT as well. what other Jrpg exclusives are there? I played Blue Dragon and it was just ok

What about Crackdown and Left4Dead? Haven't played the latter myself though.

Do you hate Halo?

I loved Too Human. I like it more then I like Alan Wake and Heavy Rain. It's about on par with Fallout for me. I know the game had a lot of flaws, but in the end it was still a fun and difficult WRPG to play, and for once it actually felt like an RPG. Mass Effect has no real level or experience system, and Fallout isn't too critically dependant on it. In Too Human, you had to change your inventory every 30 minutes, often times after every boss, and bosses actually involved strategy to beat. It felt like an RPG, and being western it was different. Wish Silicon Knights just got more funding and polished out all the corners.

I don't have a gaming capable PC, so I consider anything console exclusive as exclusive.

What about Mass Effect 1, Project Gotham Racing 3 and 4,

As for Other JRPG's. Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant (Don't count PC ports), Record of Agarest War 1 (like Disgaea), Magna Carta 2 (it's good, but nothing special).

Looking back, a lot of the great 360 exclusives really became timed exclusives. Oh well.

BTW What is your opinion on Halo and Halo Wars?

WOW , the 360 looks scary this way

The same thing happened when Halo: Reach launched. I expect Gears 3 to sell another 600,000 in its second week.

I think Gears 3 could break 5 million by the end of October, and maybe 6 million if it's lucky by the end of the year. That would be great to top Gears of War 1 and 2 in only 4 months.

Highly unlikely.  Even Halo Reach, which opened at over 4 million units and is part of a more popular franchise, took another 7 weeks to add an extra 2 million in sales to its FW numbers.  I doubt Gears can pull the same feat off in only 5 weeks.  However, you may be right about Gears hitting 6 million by the end of the year, just most of those extra sales will happen in Nov/Dec.  Still, I think this could very well go on to sell ~ 8 mil when all is said and done.  Then again, who knows?  Maybe this Gears will just be more frontloaded than the first 2 and still end with lifetimes sales around 6-7 million.

@ OP

Great numbers for Gears and congrats to the 360.  Of course, if MS wants to keep this momentum going they need to cut the price now.  Otherwise, the PS3 is going to be back in front within a week or 2.

im sorry but Too Human had way too much funding anyway, it was in dev forever

well i consider anything on more than one platform as multiplat. ME1 multiplat, Project Gotham, never played it.

Tales of Vesperia, not really a fan of that series havent played one since Destiny that was PS1, probably check out the series when Graces and Xilia comes out. Infinite Undiscovery havent heard great things, last remnant havent heard good things and is on PC, Record of Agarest War is not even exclusive its on PS3 and i suck at SJRPGs. Magna Carta havent heard good things, your not really selling me on 360 exclusives

I dont have a problem with Halo, but like i told the other guy i just lost interest after the 2nd. Halo Wars is decent im just not into Strategy games that much

That's not the same thing. To own a gaming capable PC you need to spend at least $500 on a new machine, probably over $800 for a good one. Most people don't have that kind of money laying around. Also I could install programs on my PC (well not mine) to play PS3, 360, and Wii games, so how is any game exclusive then?

Having a 360 game play on the PC is the same as having a Wii exclusive also play on the DS. The Wii version is still an exclusive.

VGC estimate Gears 3 week 2 sales to be around 400-500k in Americas, so WW 600k is likely. That would put Gears 3 at 3.7 million for the start of October, and likely 4 million for the week after that. 5 million for end of October is probably unlikely, but with sales of 100k weekly or so, it should break 5 million before the end of the November, and maybe 5.5 million for the end of 2011? That's still good.

As long as Gears 3 tops Gears 1 and 2, I'm happy. It may be front loaded, but Black Ops was front loaded and it still topped MW3. I think Gears should break 7 million, no problem. 8 million is the debate.

But Call of Duty which is also available for PC somehow works as PS3 exclusive when you don't own a 360? Your comment certainly is ridiculous, but that's not exactly drawing a parallel to the statement you intended to counter, so it missed the mark.

Now of course Michael-5's statement was silly, but you need to practice your skills.

I don't see how what I said was silly. PC's are extremly expensive machines which don't get anywhere nearly the software sales consoles do. Being a 360/PC exclusive still makes it a "console exclusive" and that to me is still damn exclusive.

Infinite Undisvocery is a lot like Tales of Vesperia. It's actually a pretty good game, a must have if you are into JRPG's. Gametrailers gives this game a just review of 7.7/10 as it did has some flaws (poor lip sync).

Record of Agarest War 1 is exclusive, Zero is not. (checking VGC) Oh wait it was release on PS3 in Japan and Europe, but in Americas it's still 360 exclusive.

LOL I know, most 360 exclusives, the good ones, either have a PC counterpart (Left 4 Dead, Conviction, Fable, Mass Effect 1) or have eventually gone MP (Oblivion, Bioshock, Lost Planet, etc). I'm just a nut for JRPG's, so even though the JRPG's I named are only good, not great, they are the reason I own a 360. That + Gears, Halo, and Forza

So Halo you're meh? interesting. I started to like Halo more after 2, mainly because that's when I started to play it MP, and because I only got to play 2 when I bought my 360.

Having a 360 game play on the PC is the same as having a Wii exclusive also play on the DS. The Wii version is still an exclusive.

Well over here a 360 costs about $500 and PS3 about $520 so...But yeah, the price shouldn't be a factor. If the game has a PC version, it's not exclusive. Most of the time, the gameplay in PC and 360 versions of games is almost identical, while you're comparing Wii to the DS, where the versions often differ by a whole lot. I still wouldn't call a Wii/DS game Wii exclusive.

Yea see, last holiday season I saw a 360 Arcade for $130, and one of my friends said he saw one for $80 during the year. I've also seen 160GB PS's for $200 before on various sales. In North America consoles undercut the price of PC gaming quite a bit. I can buy all 3 consoles and both handhelds for the price of a PC that can play all of them.

For the HD consoles, as long as it's "exclusively not on" the other console, it's exclusive to me. LOL!
