They're probably talking shipped, and they've probably shipped 6 mill copies. Most games get huge first shipments, Halo 3 got like 8 mill?

If it trends similar to Halo: Reach last year (same release dates) it should hit 6.5m end of year. Not sure if it can (second week is expected to be on par). But it should definitely top 5 mill, and has a shot at 6 mill if MS advertise it well.

The Gears franchise has really hit a new level for MS and Epic. They really know how to market a franchise, thats for sure. Great numbers.

I fully expect Gears 3 to sell roughly 5.5-6.5 Million before the year is over.
