So preview has Nintendo related sales over and everything else under

I really don't know ... lol

Don't forget the obvious dig at Dark Souls or was it just to make a game on the Wii look better?

You know, the line that went something like : "Dark Souls opened around the same as Dragon Quest Collection even though the latter is nothing more than a repackaged collection of old titles."

That or when he talks about how Dark Souls will struggle to reach DQC 2nd/3rd week numbers, only to then find out that he overestimated DQC.

I sometimes get a kick out of those previews.

I haven't read the preview, but that synopsis reeks of bias.

Boutros pointed it out in the comments section and I believe it was then removed from the article, however the rest of the Dark Souls/Dragon Quest comparison remains.

This is a regular occurance in the previews.

Yeah just went to check it there and it's obviously been removed, ridiculous comparison to begin with.

Also, despite not reading many of the previews, it seems to be a common occurance that the preview over estimates Wii software while under estimating PS3 software, at least judging by the posts in many of the Famitsu and Media Create threads.

I think I'll follow the Japan preview articles more closely, even just to get a kick out of it.

Who wrote the Japan preview?

source

and maaaaaaaaaan do I get a kick out of the preview or what :D love it..if his intentions were to actually flame bait PS3 users..it has failed miserably..it just gives us great lulz on a weekly basis

and fantastic numbers for Dark souls..I'm very happy :D and Impressive for Gears as well.

and let's not forget SOTC/ICO people! Including the single versions both games sold around 100k...= awesome

dark souls and gears 3 numbers are great, 3DS boost is a little strange but probably either due to the ecchi game or Monster Hunter I'd guess

geez guys, why all of the Source bashing this week ... isn't the lulz of his bitter fanboys tears in every word he writes well worth it??

The Japan Preview has been practically spot on for important titles for the past few weeks and you guys say nothing. Then, for the first time in possibly months, it overestimates Nintendo and underestimates everything else and you guys start bashing TheSource for being biased.
Oh, how I love trolls, :D.
Anyway, the 3DS is doing frighteningly well now. The game isn't big enough for the boost so I'm guessing it got here mostly by itself, which is even more frightening. The holidays in Japan are gonna be worth watching.

The only thing that could explain that 3ds boost is the MH announcements. Its goes to show just how powerful the franchise is in Japan. The games isn't even out yet but its mere announcement is boosting sales significantly.

This week 3DS had a new game, Senran Kagura, and it's full of fan-service...that's the explanation for this week's boost, last week it was probably due to MH.

Senran Kagura is a system seller? Didn't know that, I doubt this alone would of increase the sales by >20%. Well to be on the safe side, I'd say it be a combination of this game and the MH announcements.

When you have the answer, please tell me. Maybe it's also the solution to avoid all those tiresome post that spin Nintendo succes into failure.

It boosted the sales by 12k, it isn't that much...it's not a KA, but a small system seller for a relatively new console, nothing to compare to MH3 though (the announcement alone probably boosted 3DS sales by 15k or more).

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)
