It happened today in Sao Paulo, a press event where bloggers and the news that Microsoft announced next week are already beginning to market the Games in Brazil, especially for Xbox 360. The presentation was made by Peter Moore, Xbox director for the Brazilian market and with the new team that will help you in these new changes which according to himself, are just beginning. New prices for the consoles now making national games here and pressed for a promise that the Xbox Live make a lot more content.

Xbox 360 - Made in Brazil

Finally officially by Microsoft, the Xbox 360 is being produced in the Manaus Free Zone for liability Flextronics Brazil, subsidiary of the same company to manufacture the Xbox 360 in China.Flextronics now has the capacity to manufacture 17,000 consoles per week, being able to supply a demand far greater than this, reaching 10 times the current production. All components are still imported and only assembled here and there is no forecast of when the Xbox 360 Brazilians will other world markets such as Mercosur. The console goes on sale on October 05 to 40% off the current price and now as in the international market, Microsoft provides the console with Kinect sale, where the kit is $ 200.00 cheaper than buying them separately. Here are the prices from the day 05 October:

Xbox 360 model with 4GB: R $ 1,299.00 R $ 799.00 per
Xbox 360 250GB model: from R $ 1,599.00 R $ 1,099.00 per
Xbox 360 model with 4GB and Kinect: U.S. $ 1099.00
Xbox 360 250GB model and Kinect: U.S. $ 1399.00

For the old stock still imported console, Microsoft today begins a promotion with reduced prices for stocks and burn according to the company, the stock is very limited in all stores that sell the product of the official Microsoft Brazil and Saraiva, Walmart and Submarino. Recalling that the imported consoles comes with two games, Forza Motorsports 3 and Alan Wake. Here are the promotions valid while supplies last:

Xbox 360 model with 4GB: R $ 1,299.00 R $ 999.00 per
Xbox 360 250GB model: from R $ 1,599.00 R $ 1,299.00 per

The Brazilians will have one year console warranty as it is practiced out there and reach the console market with excellent sales. Microsoft itself believes that sales should grow very, reaching other social classes and other audiences such as children and adolescents. The accessories for the Xbox 360 as a control, headset and Kinect will not reduce prices as they continue to be made out there. Soon Microsoft will announce the new line of accessories that will be marketed here.

Games for Christmas

End of year, the increases in releases an amount of frantic and logically Microsoft would not let go of key exclusive titles on the platform. Following as it did with Gears of War 3, the games will already be produced by Arvato and cost between $ 99 and $ 129. Priced at $ 99.00 are the exclusive games like Gunslinger and Kinect Kinect Sports - Season 2, and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition, which is the HD remake of the Halo first launched 10 years ago for the first Xbox. Forza Motorsports 4 arrives for U.S. $ 129.00 and will not count again with the limited edition, as with Halo 3, Halo: ODST, Gears of War 2 and recently with Gears of War 3.

The Brazilians Live cards also received a significant price reduction, where the Brazilian players still suffer from reduced content of games and download content on Live BR, but part of this whole plan is to strengthen Microsoft's Xbox Live here, where the company should announce news until the end of the year. Microsoft did not disclose whether the price change for purchases from the Xbox Live using your credit card directly from the consumer himself. Here are the new prices:

Live Gold Card for 3 months: from R $ 55.00 for U.S. $ 44.00
Live Gold Card for 12 months: from R $ 129.00 for U.S. $ 99.00
Microsoft Points Card 1500 points: R $ 59.00 for U.S. $ 44.00
Microsoft Points Card 4500 points: from $ 145.00 per U.S. $ 119.00

So the cheapest model is only US$ 450 now. Yay!

At least the newer titles are retailing for US$ 72, which is practically a steal.

if you could not quite understanding the google's translation, here's some key points of the news.

1 - Flextronics plant in Manaus is already producing models of 4GB and 250GB and the first units hit the market in Brazil next week with 40% discount.

2 - Games released by Microsoft Game Studios are also now being printed in Sao Paulo and Manaus, also cheaper than imported ones.

3 - Ubisoft, Disney, Square-Enix and THQ are the distributors that will also print the DVDs on Brazilian soil.

4 - Kinect has not expected to be manufactured in Brazil. Thus the price remains the same Kinect and the bundle with the sensor had a lower price cut.

5 - Production principle is intended to attend the internal market in Brazil and later in other Mercosur nations can benefit as a result of trade agreements.

50% to 100% more expensive than in the USA. Motherboards and PSUs take the biggest hit AFAIK,but nothing like consoles since the Wii released at US$ 1150.

Brazil has a massive 100%+ tariff on electronic imports. Because of that, its impossible to offer affordable goods that are imported. So the result is insanely expensive products unless they are indigenous.

Because of this move, they can make the console(s) in Brazil, offering them for far more reasonable prices.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
