Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo is being sued again...

Silly lawsuit.

Apple can't sue Microsoft because Microsoft made an OS after they did or vice versa.

If someone else does the same thing in a different way, you can't sue them for it. Nintendo need not even bother with this. They only need to prove that they didn't steal their design (which they probably can, they're a big company and they probably have records detailing how they designed the Wiimote). The only thing they should do is hire someone to sit on their ass in court (if they don't want to go themselves) while the court decides the lawsuit is stupid.

True enough. I'm not exactly sure what the details involve, but the bare reality is that the plaintiff doesn't have a real case in this matter.

And so far I haven't even heard this companies name, so I'm guessing it's just a random company no one knows that well, that not a lot of people can sympathize with, that anyone could easily call them a liar or unjustified in their actions. So, I don't see a reason for them to even settle just to keep the media talk down either.

That we even know about it might be proof enough that Nintendo doesn't even care (which they shouldn't).

Only one thing: you can't sue for a project that never existed out of paper.
Nintendo do it first, Nintendo has registered that first.

Peace.

Wow did they not even have a fully working product?

They have even less of a case than I thought.

When aren't they getting sued?

I think since it was supposedly a patent then there could be a problem, but it does not sound like it from what I have read on it.

Yep, it's like there is not really a problem but fanboy judges will take that serious...

These companies are always getting sued...it's ridiculous.
