To those that say 'why no FF7 remake?', FFX would be much easier to remake because, like FFXIII, it consists of corridors plus some small towns. The big town is basically corridors, too. Being much easier, it could be a way to test the waters for a FF7 remake.

But again, not a reliable source, so we can only speculate.

And guys, if you read the OP correctly, it is, for the most part, just a HD remaster.  Well, if this turns out to be true, anyway.  The 3rd bullet point states "The sets and scenes in HD remasters (,) CGI will implement a "filter" FFXIII Engine."  In other words, all the environments and CGI cutscenes will receive the standard HD upgrading that is done to all the HD collections.  However, the main characters, the Aeons, and I suppose certain objects in the environment will be rebuilt from scratch.  Also, some magic and lighting effects will get a small upgrade using the Luminous Engine.

I hope they do compleatly redo it as this will be the only thing that might make me interested. They need to make Tidus look like a man too, I am tired of the girilish look all the time.

I hope this is true.Square has been disappointing me with these mediocre games especially Final Fantasy XIII.Although, im very excited to see what Final Fantasy Versus XIII brings to the table. I'm so hyped for Versus cant wait!
