how clever. but couldn't you just disconnect the ps3.

You could, but I think it works kinda like Demon's Souls. If you were connected and logged in the online part of the game, even if you disconnected, your WT would still be the same as when you were playing online.

So if Dark Souls keeps a similar scheme, then they're pretty much stuck with that overhauled difficulty (Pure Black Tendency on Demon's Souls).

Every time you go online, I think your WT resets.

Plus, PBWT FTW. I love me some BP Golden Skeletons!

It doesn't entirely reset, it just averages with the entire WT of every player online at the time. So if From Software is forcing an online WT (like Pure Black or Pure White events), it will reset to that WT.

BP Golden Skeletons were awesome....if you didn't have to grind them for hours to get a Pure Bladestone >_> >_> >_> >_> >_< X_X

I think I got mine from the Samurai skeleton at that hidden area in 4-2.

The Black ones right? Ah yes, I mixed up which skeleton dropped that. There were two Black Skeletons that dropped the Pure Bladestone if i'm not mistaken, the one in the secret passage (which was not BP, even on PB WT) and the one in the last outside passage before you go down the stairs to fight the Old Hero. I got mine from the secret passage one.

So, if you found out that they did this. You could unplug before starting the game.

Hooray!

I might be confused though.
Batman is rude, for getting delayed on PC. So I'm going to get this instead, and then skyrim. And that should last a while. :)

This is my plan for October&Early November as well xD.

Though Dark Souls alone will be enough for the entire month of October, especially if it's bigger than Demon's Souls as From Software says. I'm not getting off the game until I platinum it

I cannot platinum any game haha. the closest I got was 68%. Unless you count steam.

Demon's Souls was actually my first platinum. Haven't got that many, some of them were pretty easy to get (like Uncharted 2 and Dante's Inferno) and i'm stuck at 99% on GT5 XD.

But my question is did they pay for it? They may have gotten it early, but they did say it came from a retailer. If I bought lets say Goldeneye wii early somehow and they had some guy with infinite ammo and it took 100 shots to kill him each time I played I would be pissed! Especially if it was from the beginning! Now this type of game I can see that it is different, especially after you have gained experience.

Supposedly yeah, but I can see this measure as to avoid having large level or equipment disparities between the early copies and the launch copies. Every DS fan knows that having that extra piece of equipment can mean life or death when fighting an invader BP in your world, especially when you're with a flimsy Dragon Longsword and the other guy has a Dragon Bone Smasher XD.

Nice, punish your most dedicated fans who buy a game the moment they can.

Well, as you can see from the many replies in this thread, a lot of us wouldn't mind to have that "punishment" if we had access to the game early as well, since that was one of the appeals of the original Demon's Souls.
