All assassins Creed endings are basically the cliche Deus Ex Machina type, which is .... "OH LOOK AT THIS THING!, its the reason why everything happened, even though it never showed up, but hey if you wanna know what happens next buy buy the sequel"
its like the whole game is just a demo of the game that follows it, and all the build up and everything you worked for in the game doesn't real mean shit , because it has nothing to do with the guy or the thing that is revealed at the ending, this shitty style of writing is called Deus Ex Machina, and every writer hates it.
