I have it installed in my old desktop. Its pretty slick but this isn't even a beta.
so it's buggy. I see where they are going though and if they pull it off all this cross platform, cross compatibility stuff...Damn! Rumors have it that HP saw this early build of win 8 a month ago and immediately pulled the plug on webos
But ill wait for the true beta before i make any more judgment calls myself.
I've also installed it and I don't like it. I spent at least a good hour messing around with it and I'm pretty sure I won't warm up to it unless I'm using it on a tablet pc. I got it the day it was released and I haven't used it again since then. I hope that they change a lot of things before it release. Particularly the lack of a taskbar and the inability to see which programs are currently running and close them really bother me.

Ya I see your point he said it's better lol, but it seems so awkward and more like meant for tablets.

This was an interesting story I read yesterday. Not pointing fingers at you, just saying...give it a chance once its ready.

I didnt find it akward at all. Initially I thought that keybard and mouse are not that great for win8 but the moment you launch the desktop UI, its all back to normal windows business.
However you want to play in Metro UI and by second day keyboard and mouse were doing the job just fine.
IE10 metro browser also is quite a good departure from desktop browsing.
