Btw my budget is about $1000 for the desktop only. I did not include fan heatsink, cd/dvd drives and others . But currently it is $997 including shipping.

If you could stretch the budget slightly and get a 570gtx that would be great :)

The 560ti is a great card, i have one :D, but ultimately its stil a mid range card (in fact i have that exact card! lol). Do you have a preference for Nvidia? Because you could also go for the 6950 1gb which is priced in the same range as the gtx560ti. The 6950 will generally outperform the 560ti.

Personally im more of an nvidia guy so il stick with the 560ti if you cant get the 570.

Power supply is also a bit too low. U might want to get something higher, something that could handle sli perhaps? Thats a bit of future proofing right there ;)

This desktop is mainly to get me by the next year of gaming. My current laptop is 3 yrs old :( and the desktop I have is 5 yrs old. Only got months left of school :D so once I am done and hopefully get a job I won't have to worry about budgeting as much.

@at power supply, like I said I will have more funds later in the future. Just gotta get by for all the new games this fall and early next year (BF3, Dota 2, SWTOR, etc etc)

 Wth the ATI games you can't use PHYSX without an nvidia card like the 560 ti. I think physx is mostly a gimmick. But just something to consider.
 Games such as batman, adds but neat looking things. But you probably wouldn't be able to notice it unless you were told.
 I have an evga 560 ti. 

I would get a different PSU below over the one you got. There's this one It's cheaper for now with free shipping and better. Basiq is Antec's economy PSU line, which isn't 80-plus certified, and has shorter unsleeved cables.

Yea in terms of PSU, I didn't do too much research. My main focus in research was CPU, GPU, Mobo etc. Thanks for the insight :D

yep, also I'm sure you've thought of this. But just in case.

The Lanboy case is pretty neat. It is a bit extravagent and an easy way to cut your costs by atleast 60 dollars with some flash.

And you could probably find good case for half or more of the lanboy, and use the money to get a better videocard or something. But your choice! Sometimes you need shiny things. :)

It's best not to cheap out on the PSU, they usually last much longer than any other component other than the case and it's best to have a quality reliable one from the start especially if you plan on overclocking.

Also are you sure that is the case you want? looks a tad over the top (and I never got the whole LED/neon thing) and all those fans will probably end up quite load and unless you plan on overclocking aren't really necessary.

I'd personally go for a cheaper case. I'm currently looking at building my own but I'm waiting for AMD to release their new Zambezi FX chips and to compare benchmarks before I build. Anyway, I looked at the Antec 900 but decided it was pointless and cheaper to go for a less flash case and add fans to it (currently looking at the Antec 300).

I'd definately look at a new PSU too. It's actually one of the more important pieces of kit and you'll want a bit of room (wattage wise) for upgrades and/or overclocking. I also prefer modular PSUs as I hate messing around with all the cables when you don't need most of them.

Please, please change that case. Yes, I know the looks are important and you may like it but with this case you'll find yourself with a noisy PC as nothing will block the noise from getting out (something that can bother you as a laptop user), and lots of dust in the PC as none of the meshed panels have dust filters.

Other than that, the PSU you listed doesn't have the 80plus sticker so it's not very energy efficient. You may want to change it for something a bit better, like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371030. Although you won't be able to go SLI with it.
