Forums - Sony - Images (finally!) of Sony Concept Controllers

Which PS3 Controller do you like the most? (images below)

Remapped DualShock (inverted analogs) 18 15.13%

DualShock without borders 19 15.97%

Original DualShock 82 68.91%

Total:119

i think the ps2 controllers is better then the ps3 control's, but i mainly see no big dif.

far as i know that all fit in my hands the same, but redesign wouldn't hurt.

if i have to play with R1 as the shooter button then yea a complete overhaul would be welcome. even optional controllers would be perfect for ps4

Voted for the original. The controller with the inverted analog sticks is interesting although it looks like it would be uncomfortable, especially for games that are not FPSs. Then again, I grow more comfortable with controllers the more I use them (I'm not that picky).

Doubt the rear touch pad on a DS3 would be as cool as the Vita. Think a big advantage for the Vita is the touch pad is the same size as it's front touch screen. It's easier to get a feel for what you're gonna touch if you're looking at the front screen while touching the back.

4 ≈ One

I believe it will stay mostly the same except become slightly more like the 360 controller with much improved triggers and maybe concave thumbsticks (although the latter seems more unlikely)

I guess I'm one of the few that doesn't really mind the current controllers as they are now. If anything, the L2/R2 triggers could use some readjustment (I accidentally "press" them sometimes when placing the controller somewhere).

I would like to see it offered in at least two sizes I have small hands and it fits pretty good but I have noticed complaints from people with big hands .

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

One of the things I thought was precisely that it could be a little uncomfortable for other kinds of games, the design I did was mostly an experiment to see what people here thought about the idea (and because I would prefer a symmetric position instead of crossed like on xbox). Something that could help on a design like that could be making R3 (and L3) the most relevant buttons (such as X and O) on most games so that it would still be comfortable for games like plataformers. Making those buttons more sensitive would also help.

Haha, I've had some trouble sometimes in demon's souls when leaving the control to rest while I was near important NPC's because the L2/R2 (which are attack buttons) buttons were accidentally pressed.

I want my boomerang! I have broken 2 controllers this gen throwing them against the wall. Oh the possibilities.

It will just hit you back, and you might end up with mental damage.

Controller is fine. If it wasn't Sony would get enough complaints to fix it.
