Well Furious 7 got adjusted down again so it will probably not make more then the first Avengers movie after all. Once Fridays numbers come in Jurassic World will be the fasted movie to make it to $450 million dollars domestically. Should still have decent enough legs to be the fasted to $500 million domestically also after that it legs will probably slow down significantly since there still are plenty of other big budget movies being released the rest of this summer.

Jurassic World will be the fastest to $450 and $500, regardless of its staying power. It could drop 70% this weekend and still be the fastest to $500m. I do hope that it beats The Avengers in the long run though.

Around the Network

Well JW is the fastest to $450 million now and since Ted 2 will make a lot less then the first one (I'm totally okay with that since the first one was pretty mediocre) it will get to $500 million a lot faster also.

I do wonder who will this weekend though. I' predicting a higher rise for JW on Saturday and a lower decrease on Sunday(around the teens) than Inside Out but Inside Out is proving to be as unpredictable as JW. lol. I hope both earns more than 50m this weekend. I'm still hoping JW beats TA's 3rd weekend.

Jurassic World's total box office gross so far is $1,116,357,925(up to 6/25 or 6/26)

International gross is at 655.8m. It might pass 700m after this weekend.

It seems early estimates are having JW and IO just super close! With JW grossing slightly higher on Sat and Sunday. People seemed to have gone for Ted on Friday which explains the slight decline on JW and after the bad word of mouth they went back to JW. lol

I really hope Jurassic World will still be playing in theaters for at least 150 days like the other 3 Jurassic Park films.

Proud to be a Californian.

Well JW didn't beat the first Avengers third weekend but it is over $500 million domestically now and did it the fastest in only 17 days. Also box office mojo needs to update JW overseas numbers they still only have it at a little over $584 million. JW should easily make over $600 million domestically now. The website the-numbers.com have JW international total at just a bit over $737 now. That website also has Furious 7 at $1.520 billion world wide so it might be ahead of the first Avengers movie after all.   Minions continues to do well it already made over $50 million overseas with still a pretty limited release.  Also even if it ends up making less then Inside Out world wide it will still be more profitable since it also has and sells a ton of merchandise and it has a lot of cross promotions.

I think another 90 days is pretty much guaranteed.  Its still over a month away from hitting discount theaters and it will have pretty long discount theater run also.

Numbers are still estimates. It could beat The Avengers when the actuals are released. Everyone's been underestimating Jurassic World since release, including Universal themselves. There was not one time Universal was on point with their estimates. They estimated 204m in JWs opening weekend when actuals were 208.8m. THey estimated 102m for its second weekend when actuals were 106.5m. Now they're estimating it at 54.2m on its 3rd weekend. The actuals could go lower or higher but based from JW's performance so far and Universals estimates, it is safe to assume that it has a higher chance of grossing more than 54.2m and beating TA's 3rd weekend.

Minions is alread a guaranteed success although I'm not sure it would beat DM2. It's released in a few markets but most of those markets are the biggest ones with UK and Australia leading the pack. It debuted with 16m in UK alone.

batman v superman and star wars the force awakens will break all box office records and they both will reach avatar level money

I HIGHLY doubt BVS would but Star wars has a high chance. It just needs to be good. Although Avatar levels? Unlikely.

So since box office mojo's domestic numbers for Furious 7 aren't up to date they are missing over 10 days, it could be possible that their international number for it aren't that up to date either so the numbers from the numbers.com are probably right and it did really make more money then the first Avengers movie already.
