The Hobbit 2 has pretty good legs should win the domestic box office weekend at least one more time.  Also 47 Ronin bombed big time.

Frozen back on top in NA in its 6th weekend, the total is going to be huge.

I went to watch Frozen yesterday with GF and a few other female friends and mind = blown. Best Disney movie since The Lion King. Yeah it got the little songs but oh well, the plot got me fairly engaged and I did not see the twists coming (not precisely, at least).

It will have huge totals.

It's not going to make that much more at the box office I'm guessing maybe a little over $120 million more world wide still not enough to overtake DM2 total.  Also this year How to Train Your Dragon 2 will easily be the highest grossing animated movie of the year.

Frozen will definitely not pass DM2 worldwide but who knows really? No one thought it could reach this much success in the beginning and it almost always exceeded everyones estimates. It has a chance of beating DM2 domestically if it continues it's streak and might even once again surprise us overseas.

In order to catch DM2 world wide total it would have to earn almost $280 more even if it has really good legs its not going to make much over $200 million more.  Domestically it has a really good change of passing it but DM2 had much more competion not only from other summer blockbuster but it also had direct animated competition which Frozen didn't have.  But since Frozen has a wintery theme it pretty much was realesed at the perfect time.

Frozen made 73M this weekend and still hasn't opened everywhere, it should easily make more than 200M from this point. And if it does very well in its remaining markets (Japan, China, Korea, Sweden, etc.), it might still make it to a billion.

Frozen is not going to open in China (they are still very restrictive when it comes to the number of foreign movies per year that get to play there each year Frozen didn't make the cut)  the only major market it has left to open is Japan it will do decent there but not that good to easily make $200 million more it getting to 1 billion is pretty much impossible.

It will be released in China. Where did you get the info saying it won't be shown in China? And while Japan is the only major market left for it it's still yet to open to more countries like stated before. It could prove big in Korea as well.

IMDB doesn't have it listed and I don't think any other site has it listed as being released in mainland China either.  Again they are very restrictive when it comes to the amount of foreign movies that are alowed to play there each year they recently raised the number but a movie that is released that late in the year pretty much has no change of making the cut only a movie that was being made in co operation with a Chinese studio would have a chance of making the cut that late in the year.  Its doing halfway decent in Honk Kong which has no restriction on foreign movies even though its returned to chinese control in 1997
