Are you sure they did not just change the name? Lol. Sounds like a big mess.

As far as I know it was always called "White House Down".  Antoine Fuqua the director of "Olympus" might have a better track record of making good movies compared to Roland Emerich the director of "White House Down" but Emerich has a better track record at the box office even his really bad movies Godzilla and 10,000 B.C. ended up making money at the box office.

Also forgot to mention The Hobbit finally made it past the 1 billion mark world wide without any numbers from China so far. It will definitely move up a couple of spots before its theatrical run is over its currently at the #15 spot just a few million behind The Dark Knights final gross.

With Jack the Giant Slayer, Beautiful Creatures and Bullet to the Head, Warner Brothers has the top three of the five biggest flops so far this year. I'm thinking thinks will probably make a turn for the better with the release of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone on the 15th. Also Man of Steel and Pacific Rim have a change to be one of the highest grossing summer releases.

Any word on OZ from last night?
predictions for Oz for the weekend: $70m - $110m.
Gonna go see it today.

No word yet but if it makes that much it would be in very good shape.  I'm thinking if the reviews would have been a bit better it could have easily made close to a billion world wide as it stands it probably has a change to make over 700 million.

Oz makes $2m on thursday night. That's pretty good I think.

$24m for Oz on Friday. Not bad, but not that great.
However, the movie might not be so front heavy so it might be able to get $80m for the weekend.
I personally give this movie 8/10

Yup, Oz made $80m. Don't know if I'm disappointed with this or not. Some websites predicted this film to make over $100m.
Word of mouth is not great either so $300m is probably not gonna happen.

Oz could have easily made $100 million if it would have been a bit better. A little over $80 million is pretty good for a movie that has a metascore of 44/100 and will probably settle below 6.5/10 on imdb. Also it looks like Zero Dark Thirty will not make it to the $100 million mark domestically.

Hobbit with $1bn is pretty good. Possible to get $1.1bn with China?
