TDKR may not even be able to get past Shrek 2 at the rate its going at...

Its only $82.6 million away from outgrossing Shrek 2 it will do it easily just wait 2 to 3 weeks.  Also I already mentioned it earlier TDKR will have a very long theater run the Blu-Ray/DVD doesn't come out until December the 9th.

That was the same TDK came on Blue Ray on 2008...and I meant it won't pass Shrek 2 domestically not WW...WW it can pass it in less than 2 weeks

It a little more then $32 million away from passing Shrek 2's domestic total and still has more then eight weeks to do it should pass it with no problems.  Also it already surpassed Shrek 2'a overseas total.  If Ice Age 4 was nearly as populat domestically as it is overseas it would be past Shrek 2 world wide total also.

Okay I guess it will pass Shrek 2 domestically and should hopefully cross the 950M mark by the end of this weekend. However at this stage 1.1B WW looks unlikely because at this stage On Stranger Tides and Transformers: Dark of The Moon had almost crossed the Billion dollar mark.

Still way too early to tell how much it will make world wide.  China alone could give its box office over a $100 million dollar boost and like I said earlier for those numbers to be released is going to take a while.  The Hunger Games opened in China on June 14th and box office mojo still doesn't have any numbers for it.  With today's numbers TDKR made $900 million world wide it is pretty much guranteed to make at least another $100 million.  How much more then a billion it will make world wide will not be known until a couple of month from now.

Amazing Spider-Man and Dark Knight Rises launching on the same day so I'm not expecting anything above 50M considering the Avengers did 84M over there. But my LT prediction for Dark Knight Rises is...

North America: 467M

OS: 700M

WW: 1.167B (Hopefully if TDKR has strong legs)

One of the biggest disappointment of the year is Brave. Not a flop by any means, but a disappointment.

It's currently at 408 mio worldwide, almost 160 mio behind Madagascar 3, almost 390 mio behind Ice Age 4.

Congratulations to Ice Age 4 for becoming the second highest animated movie overseas behind Ice Age 3 and for passing $800 million world wide. I seems to have strong legs and it still hasn't opened in Italy yet where the third one was very popular and made $43 million so it still has a good change of becoming the highest grossing animated movie of all time overseas.

It did fine domestically it just didn't do so good overseas but besides Toy Story 3 and Finding Nemo all Pixar movies could have done better overseas.

Yeah I'm guessing it could touch reach $900M by the end of its run

That's slighly better then the third one so its very possible.  It would easily do close to a billion if the franchise was a bit more popular domestically.  20th Century Fox must really have top notch voice acting talent for their foreign language dub for all the Ice Age movies especially the third and fourth since they made crazy money overseas.  Also too bad its not playing in China I guess it would easily make at least $50 million dollars there.   Also The Avengers numbers from China should still increas since the numbers are from June the 3rd.

So where will TDKR end up in America? 465m?

I'm hoping it can do at least $475m so that it can knock Episode I out of the top five.  But anything over $450m would be nice.

Unless I get out to see that new van damn movie like three times this weekend premium rush will probably take the crown.

Preminum Rush only made $1.97 million in Friday's estimated from box office mojo it looks like The Expandables 2 will win the top spot this weekend without any problems.

I guess he just does not have that star power yet. Seemed like it was going to be a good movie.

Got a "B" from ew.com

He still is a good actor.  Also Premium Rush had a pretty small budget of $35 million.  Looper which opens on September 28th is going to be a better indicator if Joseph Gordon-Levitt has star power.  Also he was the lead in 50/50 and (500) Days of Summer and both of those movies did good at the box office and cost less then $10 million to make.

Dark Knight Rises hit $941 Million today and tomorrow will pass Lion King and take 10th on the all time domestic chart. With the China, Greece and Italy numbers it should hit a Billion by the end of next week.
