The Dark Knight should surpass Spider-Man and Transformers 2 by next week and hopefully The Hunger Games in two weeks.

Does anyone know how high the budget of "The Expandables 2" was?

It a little more then $32 million away from passing Shrek 2's domestic total and still has more then eight weeks to do it should pass it with no problems.  Also it already surpassed Shrek 2'a overseas total.  If Ice Age 4 was nearly as populat domestically as it is overseas it would be past Shrek 2 world wide total also.

I kinda think that Italy is a minor market.  Also imdb doesn't list a release date for TDKR for China and sometimes it takes forever to get numbers back from China The Hunger Games opened their a couple of month ago and box office mojo still doesn't have any numbers for it.

Wikipedia has it at $100 million it will have to do better overseas in order to make a profit at the box office.  The first one made $103 million domestically but I think this one might fall a bit short of making over $100 million domestically.  The only recently released movie that is pretty much guranteed to make over $100 million domestically is The Bourne Lecacy.  It still tracking ahead of the first Bourne movie by over $15 million dollars but I doubt it will make anywhere near as much as the second and third Bourne film.  I'm guessing it will finish somewhere  around the $150 million dollar mark domestically.

Both The Expendables 2 and ParaNorman should have done a little better at the box office. Hopefully they can do better overseas.

Okay I guess it will pass Shrek 2 domestically and should hopefully cross the 950M mark by the end of this weekend. However at this stage 1.1B WW looks unlikely because at this stage On Stranger Tides and Transformers: Dark of The Moon had almost crossed the Billion dollar mark.

Still way too early to tell how much it will make world wide.  China alone could give its box office over a $100 million dollar boost and like I said earlier for those numbers to be released is going to take a while.  The Hunger Games opened in China on June 14th and box office mojo still doesn't have any numbers for it.  With today's numbers TDKR made $900 million world wide it is pretty much guranteed to make at least another $100 million.  How much more then a billion it will make world wide will not be known until a couple of month from now.
