Forums - Sales - Sony: 360 Ahead in Sales, but Software Performs Better on PS3

Well clearly someones ignoring the 90 million software gap :P

But when Sony names multiplats that outsell the 360 one, there even more of the opposite.

Buttetstorm, Homefront, and Battlefield 3 (even with the exclusive PS3 content) and especially Modern Warfare 3 by at least 2 million when its all said and done.

Oh Sony.......

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Is really 3 million a "massive lead"?

What's hilarious about his comments is that Microsoft does the same thing and can also list many, many titles with extra content that easiliy outsold the PS3. What this PR guy is forgetting is that Xbox 360 multiplat games that don't have exclusive content on either versions sell better on the XBox 360. True the PS3 is finally catching up to the XBox 360, the only problem is this generation is just about over. Coming in 2nd does not make you a winner. Both PS3 and XBox 360 LOST this generation no matter how much they jockey for 2nd place. LOL!!

As for ratio per consoles, Microsoft has like 9.1 - 1 ratio now (9 games sold per XBox 360). Sony's software is increasing, but they are still behind the XBox 360 by over 100 million. I doubt they will catch the XBox 360, especially with games like Battlefield 3, MW3, Halo CE Aniv, Halo 4 and Gears 3 on the way. Sony has a lot of decent exclusives, but besides FF, Gran Turismo and MGS, they don't have a franchise that sells 8-10 million copies easily. You would think a game like Uncharted or Killzone  would be able to do this, but nope.
