PlayStation Vita Tales News Possibly Coming Soon

Producer expects to have some news soon.

Tales was a major franchise for PSP. This could continue on Sony's new portable.

From the same sources that provided all those Dengeki PlayStation leaks earlier today (see this story) comes first hints at PlayStation Vita developments for the Tales series.

Dengeki has a Tales of Xillia interview this week with series producer Makoto Yoshizumi. In the interview, Yoshizumi reveals that Tales Studio has starting working on the next entry in the series -- not too surprising since Xillia comes out this week.

Regarding Vita, Yoshizumi says that they're actively thinking about developments for the series on the platform. He expects to be able to share some news shortly.

PlayStation Portable saw three Tales of the World Radiant Mythology games, so seeing the franchise on Vita wouldn't be too surprising. The only question is, will Namco Bandai bring the main "mothership" entries to the system, or just secondary offshoot titles again

Yea funny how the ds got 3 story heavy games while the psp got 3 spin off games. though radiant mythology was pretty fun. They confirmed they wanted to make some for the 3ds and now the vita good news. Hopefully the vita gets a main series title game this time or at least on with original characters. Anyway I cant wait to hear more.

Well they basically said they hoped to make more titles for the 3ds. I think they said that around the launch of abyss 3ds in japan.

I was suspecting Tales to be one of the un-announced titles for Vita.

Possibly a Tales of Vesperia port? That would be TOO kind.

I truly wonder how that'll work...

With flash media not going beyond 32gb unless you're talking SSD drives (or perhaps I'm clueless) technology could be quite behind piracy this time... as in you won't be able to put many games on the card, it will just be ineffective.

But hey, still a nice comment, haha.
