The patent is for a touchscreen device designed to function in tandem with another device (implied to be PS3, though not distinctly stated so) that would work similarly to the 3DS's Face Raiders game, except it's intended to work to show things "hidden" from on the TV screen. It CAN operate like augmented reality (which is what Face Raiders is), but they can't patent that. |
"It's absolutely nothing like WiiU and the NeoGAF user that pointed it out is a retard."
"The patent is for a touchscreen device designed to function in tandem with another device" ...um isn't that what the concept behind the wii u is?
the touchscreen device
the device/console it works in tandem with
if i wasn't as mad as you are that someone implied that nintendo didn't come up with an idea for gaming i'd be under the impression that you cntradicted yourself...

Go back and look at my post carefully, understand what the fuck I said, then look at how fucking retarded your post was.

chill out no need for all the cussing my friend i'm just as outraged... how dare they make such claims... btw i'm pretty sure i got the jist of your post and stand by what i posted you say the patent "is for a touchscreen device designed to function in tandem with another device" and claim quite vehemently "It's absolutely nothing like WiiU" all i ask however is how thats any different from what is being done with wii u?

3DS and Virtual Boy both use multiple images to present the player with a 3D gaming experience. N64 and Dreamcast both used controller expansion slots to enhance the gaming experience. SNES and Xbox both have A, B, X, and Y buttons.
Do ANY of these mean that they're anything like each other? Just because a PART of the description is the same doesn't mean that they're anything like each other. You can't just take the first couple sentences of the description and ignore the rest, because it was the rest of the description that clarified just how incredibly different the two are.

"Do ANY of these mean that they're anything like each other?"
in regards to their unique functionality yes it absolutely does... the buttons on both the snes and xbox work like... wait for it... buttons
the virtual boy and 3ds... wait for it... both share the 3d in common
can you think of any similarities between the device described and the wii u? like with the aforementioned buttons, slots, virtual boy/3ds etc? now of course we already know that theres no question to who came up with this idea ( obviously nintendo the only pioneers in gaming ) all i'm asking is if you can think of any similarities
