If the only black people in the game were portrayed like this I could see an argument, being that I have seen a variety of portrayals of black characters and I'm fairly early in the game I don't think this is a valid complaint ...

i've said this on Kotaku so i'll just paste it here

funny how you didn't see asians complain about this scene, maybe because the rest of the world already got over racist jokes ages ago, and the US is always oversensitive about everything.
Eidos isn't a US developer, so they don't have that "Zomg datz racist" i can argue that most of the stuff American developers and movie makers do to portray Asians / Arabs / Russians / Germans / British , are all racist, but do those people complain? , wait nevermind , of course the US Of A is the only country that matters.

Wtf? I've heard a few people speak that way when I lived in Tucson. Next thing we know Al piece of s....t Sharpton will hop on this bandwagon. In Deus Ex there are all types of people with different types of dialects. If anything if people push to censor this then we have a huge infringement on our freedom of speech.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

im not sure if this is racist

honestly i think the whole thing about Resident Evil 5 being racist before it released had more reasoning than this

It sounds something along the lines of my counter whenevr I confuse one asian for another. "When you can tell the difference between someone from Norway and someone from France, then we can talk."

Being from the deep south, I can tell you that no one currently uses the dialect that Letitia uses. Saying that any American speaks like this character is like saying there are still Americans that use Elizabethan English in 2011. It's not racist it's just ignorant.
