Last week Wii Sports overtook Nintendogs to become the 9th best selling game of all time. Over the coming weeks it has Super Mario Land & Super Mario Bros 3 in its sights and is also set to pass Super Mario World early in the spring.

Even in the realm of pack-in games Wii Sports stands on whole new level. It is absolutely shattering records no matter how you look at or how much you discount it or relegate it to sub-sections of the record books.

Well, it's only packed-in in one region. In Japan it's selling extremely well on its own.

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would get excited over the sales of a bundled-game. It makes no sense at all.

It's still the fastest selling game of all time.

I think Wii Sports is selling the Wii rather than the reverse, so it's also the most successful $250 game ever.

I know, being a pack in game pretty much guarantees that it will end up in the top 50 slots, that's why Forza MotorSport 2 is up in that list too.

Did Playstation 2 have any packins? Maybe those games made the list. Hrmm... wait, I don't see any PS2 games until 13, oh and everything above 25th is either Gran Turismo or Grand Theft Auto.

Was Halo 2 a pack in for the Xbox? Cause that managed to hit slot 36 so far.
