What saved Nintendo from having a third mediocre to bad gen in a row was the whole "innovation" with the motion controls and definitely going after the blue ocean. The core of Nintendo is best represented in the N64 era. It will be interesting to see what Nintendo will do at launch for the Wii U because this time it is launch that will be crucial to them. At the same time, we also have to wait and see what Apple does, Sony, and M$. Next gen should get interesting.
