TBH I don't think the AI will ever be improved much, simply because the moment you stop knowing how the enemy will behave you are in a huge disadvantage. If 20 enemies are like 20 humans and you fight against them all at once, you're bound to lose, unless you have a ridiculous amount of health or something like that. Even if you fight one single enemy you have a 50% chance of dying.

I think most people feel comfortable with the current AI levels because it's within their reach to learn the patterns, get to know the game, get better at it and beat it. That doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement, but I have the feeling a game will always be a game, that you can learn and beat. Not totally intelligent and unpredictable. For that you have multiplayer.

About other the technological leap yes, it wasn't nearly as big as from SNES to N64 or PS1 to PS2. Expect the generational leaps to get smaller with time, unless something drastic happens in the technological field. So the difference between this and next gen should be even smaller.

But I am satisfied with the current gen, I had fun with it and I await what next-gen will bring. Not all gens are going to have a leap like from 2D to 3D.

i hate learning patterns. i need advanced AI and smarter people online. no challenge that i've seen on either. thats why i play games on the hardest seting available when playing the first time through. failure is not exceptable.

how do you kill someone when they use a flash grenade to blind you? easy anwser. paly against me and it will happen every time.

this gen gives you near everything so yes its the best by far

gamers are just as prodictable as AI.

So you want AI to be more intelligent than (stupid) humans.

hell yea. they fall for the same tricks and never change there game up. i'm the most tactical strategist put in any shooter. i've done some stupid things admitedly but i've run people there were obviously better then me through the ringer and they came up short handed.

AI smarter then my good friend the troll whisperer. yea thats my dream.

Ah, but that's impossible

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

I'm a PC gamer so don't think I can really comment...

Which makes you wonder why I bothered posting...

you have every right to post here. don't you want better for the PC? i do as a PC gamer myself.

PCs don't confirm to hardware generations tho...

@TheVoxelman on twitter

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

the Ds is the best legacy of this generation... IMO

@MARCUSDJACKSON

Do you play Battlefield by any chance ?

Yes. The DS revitalised and revolutionised the handheld market. It's one of the greatest consoles ever made, far better than the GBA which preceded it and in terms of legacy almost certain to be better than the 3DS which follows it.

im satisfied, there are soem games out there that have much better AI, Uncharted 1 and Killzone2 (IMHO). THe only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was motion control, wiimote wasnt 1-1 and when it finally corrected itself it got little support. Sony threw some sixaxis crap in at the last moment, but at least the Move does what it said it would do, but that was a little too late. Kinect is fine but im not convinced that we will play anything good oustide of the minigames and dance games
